Ethereum will be bigger than bitcoin. Why are you still in denial?
Current price ~$3
>Ethereum market cap becomes equal to bitcoins
Expected price ~$75
The project is still 18 months away from being finished software. No DAPPS have been realeased.
I will see this project through to maturity.
"Cashing out" is not even an option to me. This is about much more than a couple thousand measly dollars.
This post is what makes it all worthwhile. You've brought a tear to this old shills eye. ::)
I told you pham. Still not too late. Will be $20 by the end of the year
Jesus.. I was thinking about investing when it was around 1.62.
Is it too late already or is it going to the moon ?
I wonder what all the anti-crypto retards are going to say when they get assblasted by the success of Ethereum
"OHH I WASN'T REALLY AGAINST THE UNDERLYING TECHNOLOGY EVER. I KNEW IT ALL ALONG :^)"
"I WAS JUST AGAINST THE SHILLS :^)"
You don't seem to understand where this is heading. You're like the person who didn't invest in Bitcoin when it was $3 because he thought it was too expensive...A year later, 1BTC = $1200
Ethereum already makes bitcoin look like an amateur job
So what, even if he does we'll just crowdfund a dev team that will upload his sentience onto the blockchain where he will live forever as a sort of smart contract with moderator privileges.
>everyone is thinking about dumping
>ETH is barely 8 months old
>china can't even buy it yet
>market cap still lower than bitcoins
why havnt you bought dgb yet?
DGB guys, its going to replace all virtual transactions, in currency,
Eth is a solid internet 2.0 3.0 w.e
NEM/MIjin is the future for business
get on board
>eth will dump to 1 dollar
>then will spike to 1000
>im buying in at 1 dollar
Ether is the currency for transactions on the ethereum network.
Ethereum is a turing complete blockchain app platform.
Every logic operation on the ethereum blockchain costs a tiny amount of Ether.
By buying ether you are buying a share of real estate on the ethereum blockchain.
You can buy ether with bitcoins on the cryptocurrency exchanges that trade ether. Poloniex is the biggest, kraken, or shapeshift.io.
no im still fucking about with shit coins
On a very serious note
Give me your genuine oppinion
>will ether be worth 1000 one day
>will this be like how my dad always said he had a chance to buy apple , microsoft and mcdonald stocks but didnt.
>am i a damned fool to not realize i could be rich
seriously i wanted to buy at 2$ but thought i missed out, and could of bought at 1$ , now i am just salty because if i make money i could of had double,
>should i buy or will it go back to 1$ first?
I honestly believe the days where you could buy ETH for $1 are long gone and will never return.
You would have to get extremely lucky with some terrible news, entire dev team wiped out in a plane crash, some kind of unforeseen bug in ethereums consensus protocol which renders the whole thing useless, that sort of thing.
Your other question about $1000?
I think it's possible. If ethereum got to the same market cap as apple or google each Ether would be worth over $7000
bitcoin reached 16$ but went back down, why not ether?
i see it going back to at least 550 k
These are different times. And it's a different coin.
Bitcoin at that time was like a headless chicken no one knew it wasn't going to disappear or somehow be banned.
Ethereum has a proper development roadmap and a visible and growing development community. People are too smart to dump their ether at this early stage.
Keep up the shilling boys and girls.
If we can scoop up the survivors from the Bitcoin fiasco, we will do well, perhaps $100 or more per ETH if we maintain the hype. Bitcoin will slowly bleed money and users, while ETH will only grow.
t. certified shill with an interest in ETH.
Homestead is literally days away. Just wait for stable release.
it's another pump and dump. I have witnessed a couple of "revolutionary" cryptos like Ethereum and the Ethereum hype is no different than Dash/Ripple etc..
>inb4 muh blockchain
you fuckers don't even understand what a blockchain is. You're just lazy kids who think they're gonna make thousands of $ without having to do actual thinking/work. Niggers like you will always stay poor. At the end, whales are going to fuck poorfags like you in the ass without vaseline. It's the same over and over and over again.
Let's be honest, it's a pump and dump. But at least this one has legs compared to all the other bullshit.
ETHs durability comes from the fact that it will replace Bitcoin which is falling apart.
please shut the fuck up. you don't know anything about the technology. I doubt you ever had anything more than a cursory understanding of the other crypto platforms
"I've seen one pump and dump before I tell ya kids"
I have never advocated for any other blockchain tech because the others weren't anywhere close to where Ethereum is headed. bitcoin looks like an abacus in comparison to Ethereum
>dat damage control
you're gonna stay poor, face it. I'm gonna make a screenshot of this post just to laugh at you later.
>I have never advocated for any other blockchain tech because the others weren't anywhere close to where Ethereum is headed.
I have heard this over and over and over and over again. And I'm going to hear it over and over and over again. It's so easy to fool idiots like you.
Well, it failed it's primary goal as the next retail e-currency, it didn't even put a dent into PayPal, it's used nothing but for speculation, the network is monopolized by a small group of people who now have the computing power to corrupt it and embezzle coins, the developers are at war with each other, numerous cases of fraud, the largest exchange was fraudulent and it's notorious enough to be banned by name by most governments.
>Let's be honest, it's a pump and dump.
Except Ether has a chance of becoming a revenue generating asset if it's staked in a validator when PoS lands. If this network becomes the settlement layer for the entire world, that would mean the network will be worth billions of dollars
I'm sorry about your failed investments in dash and ripple. A truly tragic story. Maybe you should have done your homework before throwing your money in the bin
Why do you bother using a proxy? I just shill using my 2 phone browsers. (Sometimes one gets banned for a few days for making crypto threads on /g/)
I'm quite open about it. I just want anons to get rich.
as long as ETH is backed by Bitcoin and is traded against it, I would certinly be concerned getting into it
do you even know how easily volume can be faked you fucking moron?
this guy here >>1083373 is the perfect example. In two hours he's gonna buy some and be shilling on these threads, trying to defend his descision and acting like he knows why Ethereum will be the next big thing with arguments like "Ethereum is revolutionary, you can't compare it to Bitcoin" without going into technical details. Don't bullshit a bullshitter.
>That much money is definetly wortth the risk
no it's not. You're going to waste time and effort that should have been put elsewhere. You may think "oh look at this, I could have make 300% profit". That's utopic thinking, you could have done the same in real world with real stocks only that crypto trading is 1000x more fucked up and rigged. You would have panic sold your coins like 90% of all amateurs do.
It's your life and your money, do whatever you like but I'm pissed because this /biz/ really isn't a bad place except when coin shills appear and try to drag people into shit.
Thats why the volume data in that chart carefully excludes exchanges which do not charge trading fees such as the large chinese exchanges which are riddled with bots and fake volume.
It's inversely related to Bitcoin. The worse off BTC becomes (and it will) the more users and money flow into ETH.
Shit is gonna get real soon.
You're being patronising. $30 could become $300 or $3000 or $0.
Anon seems to have weighed up the risks. You might panic sell if you put in $30,000 but at $30 the likelyhood of panic selling is low. Especially if it's kept in cold storage on a paper wallet.
You're a sly double agent shill. There's only one thing stopping me from getting ETH. I'm not sure if this is a UK thing only or normal but to buy Bitcoins in order to buy ETH I have to upload my ID and shit, I'm not comfortable with that, this shit is supposed to be anonymous.
That's a limitation if you don't already own any BTC. You have to through an exchange and provide ID and a bank account to draw funds from. This took me 5 days but through Kraken I coudl buy ETH directly for Canadian dollars, so I didn't have to buy shitty ass Bitcoin at some ridiculous price.
Why do you care about anonymity? You're not using bitcoin to pay for drugs or child porn. Buying bitcoin is not illegal. You are investing in a decentralised internet protocol.
You can also buy bitcoin easily on localbitcoins domestic bank transfer option.
The UK is the easiest country in the world to buy bitcoins in.
Avoid buying BTC if possible.
If you do it through BTC, you are basically injecting capital into the BTC market which does nothing to help ETH.
Remember, we want Bitcoin to die a slow, painful death. The fedoras that got lucky in 2013 must suffer in silence, more than they do already with their 2D gfs.
Find an exchange that allows you you to buy ETH directly from your national currency.
Which country are you in?
You can deposit USD into Kraken from your bank account and then buy ETH directly with your dollars.
Assume I am to cash out Ethereum now that it has reached 10 times of its value where Ive bought at?
How do I get straight dollars for my ether ?
Most places offering direct ether buying with fiat either charge a premium (bittylicious) or take days to process KYC (kraken)
Holding bitcoin for a day or two vefore buying ether will have zero perceptible wffect on the price of bitcoin.
Any exchange. Sell them for bitcoin and then sell the bitcoin, or if your exchange supports fiat withdrawals exchange into fiat.
In my personal opinion though, you're selling way too fucking early.
What's the P/E ratio?
Is the profit growth higher than the dividends?
Is the net worth high?
If the P/E ratio is between 5 and 15, and the the answer to the second and third question is yes, I suggest you invest.
Personally, I don't like high risk stocks. You have to think whether this company has the potential to grow to the scale of a Nifty Fifty company. Big, stable companies are always the best, and I discourage short term investing.
>Mfw some e-currency performs better than corporations with thousands of people, machines and product
A paper wallet can be generated at myetherwallet. It basically generates an address that you can send ether to and provides you with a private key that you will need to access your ether.
You will need to keep your password safe and a copy of your private key either encrypted (with your password) or unencrypted, in order to access your ether.
>Mfw tulip bulbs and roulette wheels sometimes perform better than corporations with thousands of people, machines and product
>Implying corporations aren't just prolonged pump and dump schemes that simply have way too much overhead
ETH is still superior because it has so little overhead and generates better returns.
Change your diaper grandpa, the dried feces has made you irritable.
That's why I have invested all of my money in scratch off lottery tickets. I took a reverse mortgage on my parents home and took out a car title loan so I can invest as much of my money into scratch offs as possible. I also rent all of my furniture and electronics from rent a center so I can keep more of my assets liquid for lotto investments. They won't accept credit as a form of payment for lottery tickets, they can't out smart me though. I turned my available credit on my high interest credit cards into cash for a fee and also invested that into scratch offs.
I highly recommend everyone else do the same before all the lottery associations realize what a mistake they've made.
Protip: don't forget to diversify your investment by buying different kinds of scratch offs. If money is a barrier to entry don't be afraid to pawn your jewelry or belongings, or your family's belongings. You can buy them nicer stuff and terms you've won the lottery.
Do you honestly think cryptocurrency is like a lottery?
Do you think they are all the same? Do you think it's impossible to know which one will do well and which ones won't?
If you think like that you don't know enough about the subject
why are you not buying SIACOIN
its off the charts and going up fast
The moment the dump and panicsell starts, people will want to sell their bitcoins as fast as they can.
Thats gonna be a problem, kids.
>the panic sell
I don't think you've really given much thought to what ethereum actually is.
You're assuming this price rise is due to pure pump and dump rather than real developments.
You are making that assumption after reading absolutely nothing on the subject apart from this thread.
Well, you just said it was like playing the lottery. Thats as retarded as someone saying buying apple shares is playing the lottery or investing in real estate is like playing the lottery.
Cool. Your post implied you swapped it for shitty bitcoins
I am shameless. But i'm making neets into ballers so my conscience is clear.
I've been watching the market for 6 months.
Any hodlers still hodling have been thouroughly tested at all price points. And most are hardened bitcoin hodlers who hodled bitcoin through thick and thin.
Even if it fell to $2.80 it would not trigger a panic.
OP has been shilling in this thread ALL DAY. what does that tell you about him and his life.. if you take advice from a retard like him you're stupid. He's a poor neckbeard who failed at life and thinks hes gonna get rich easy with this, actually he doesnt really believe it, he makes himself believe it.
it makes sense but you're too retarded to understand what I'm saying. It's one thing believing in something because you're truly convinced but another thing if you do something out of despair and make yourself believe it was the right decision. Congratulations, you're still an underage monkey and probably never dealt with self-reflection.
There was no price drop, he is quoting prices in euros
This is a chart of the last 20 hours or so.
>it makes sense but you're too retarded to understand what I'm saying.
actually he doesnt eat it, he makes himself eat it
actually he doesnt breathe, he makes himself breath
actually he doesnt make sense, he makes himself make sense
get an education bozo. i was just making fun of what i thought was a silly mistake. but you've proven yourself to be brain damaged.
i get what you're trying to say, but that's not how english works.
if you believe in something, then you believe in it.
it doesn't matter WHY you believe in it.
also, im 28, run my own company, am a multi millionaire. have made 400k from ETH so far, and spend 1h per day meditating/reflecting.
This is a ethereum thread
not a pseudo intellectual philosophical ad-homineming/name-calling thread
wat. I'm not a big fish but I've been doing pretty good so far. doesn't change the fact that you're a retarded shill.
Is there still time to get on the train? I get little bit of a "new paradigm!" feeling from this thread
Cool. Well done for buying ether. Why are we having an argument again?
I hope it goes down to $1 so I can purchase more.
Some of the guys that got in really early are probably going to start a sell off, which is great because there will be more bargains.
I'd never buy a Bitcoin for more than $30, but at these low prices, I ETH is a bargain if it can deliver on the technology.
we had been when it was $1 now its 3.5USD and not even close to the moon yet
poor people underestimate the power of meme magic(and turning complete crypto)
Yes lots of delays. There is no "easy" way of doing this yet other than what i posted. Its possible to wire after like 3 days after account creation but that can take another few days. I wish i did what i just told u to do a few days ago when ether was 2.20. Instead had to wait for dumb shit.
There's got to be more to it than that... you can put scripts inside BTC transactions currently:
Also, a vendor could just implement that 1% cashback on top of regular BTC layer.
Invested like a 100 bucks and it's now worth well over 300.
To the moon faggots
>mfw invested $1000 and now is worth $2000
Great job my dude, I'm a NEET poorfag living on autismbux so I have nothing to invest, it's going straight to my education though.
It just got really close to 0.01 BTC, which is a nice round number where a lot of people will want to sell.
I sold at 0.0098, and im going to buy back in after it dips a little more (people will panic, thinking they're going to miss out on the good price)
If only you had listened... and bought the presale..
How long will the 3 handle remain solid?
Will we ever hit 1 again or has the Eth rocket permanently left the ground?
yea it was shilled, when it was 3$ to 7$.
I still remember it, it was being posted on /b/ as well. People were still making the comments, Oh its to expensive etc etc.
Every method of buying bitcoin involves ridiculous shit like photocopying your ID or chatting with a person and hoping they actually send you bitcoin after you pay them. How about here's some money and give me my bitcoin? Why is this so hard?
I am waiting for verification from wesellcrypto.com so I can buy with paypal but of course this seems to be taking forever to verify my email. What a fucking dumbass process this is.
do you not understand that on /biz/ your user ID is posted? air your insecurities all you want on 4chan, it might make you feel better but it won't change a thing about the process of aquiring BTC, which you are only interested in because of ETH. and right now especially, of all times to complain. all i can say is L E L. you are the type to buy high and sell low.
the security measures for buying BTC are justified, if these websites only needed paypal accounts or credit card numbers, scammers and fraudsters would have open season on the general population. pick one or the other: giving up personal info to get BTC fast, or slow anonymity. if you really don't want to scan your photo ID, get on localbitcoins and pay the premium for anonymity. i really dont see why youd be hesitant about scanning your photo ID tho. as if you haven't given up your personal info to eight hundred compainies by this point already.
ethereum is a network for decentralized, redundant computation.
Want to run some code that your government won't like? (silk road for example)
run it on the ethereum network and the only way to stop it is to ban the entire system from use, or stop people from sending ether to keep it running.
Kraken lets you buy ETH directly with USD right? But it takes awhile to transfer the funds from your bank account. And you have to verify your identity.
How long does the verification take?
Should I get BTC instead and just exchange for ETH?
I bought BTC from Coinbase since that was nice and fast then just used Kraken to buy ETH.
On Coinbase you link your bank account and then you have to have a backup credit card in case that funding fails (so that you can buy BTC immediately). You can skip the credit card but then the bank account funding tanks a few days.
Let's say I have like 100 bits in BTC. Assuming I am able to successfully buy low and sell high consistently, making very small profits here there by trading in and out of different super low value alt coins as you can see on my image. Could I theoretically grow my 100 bits to the moon if I play my cards right? Would it take a lot of time? Is it impossible?
It's my birthday. If anyone would like to donate BTC, I would love yall 5ever. 100% of donations will be spent on ETH. Make my dreams come true!
