for some reason I thought in sales with all the customer contact I would cure my retardation in social interaction. its been almost 6 months and my superior are getting supsicious. I cant even get myself to call customers because i cant remember shit they say or can give the right answer to their questions. I am still in my trainee phase but I doubt it will get much better.

I worked in a coffee shop for a year and my social incompetence made it a living hell.
I now work in a job where I don’t have to interact with anybody.
Consider a career change OP.

Nah, it's usually better to focus on the areas where your natural talents lie than to try to get good at something you naturally suck at.

Really?
It was the opposite for me? I became much better socially when I had a job dealing with external customers.
I then took an accountant job that only deals with internal customers (fellow coworkers) and I'm feeling more autistic than ever.
Take notes and/or record calls.

Something like social interaction isn't something you can just avoid and hope it goes away.
