Bro it depends how experienced you are, I'm guessing you're just starting out so what I'd say is if you haven't already start reading up, do your research, learn how the market works and how it's all interrelated. Practice on a demo account or two if you want to practice and try out some investment strategies. Don't just jump in and be one of the fools who just jumps on the bandwagon without having any knowledge behind why they've picked the investments they have, things can go south quick if you're just gambling on random stocks.

Has the business had growth in both sales and earnings over the past five years?
Is there a high return on equity within the business?
How low is the gearing of the business? Is it below 33 percent?
Is there a clear, rising book value?
Does the business have strong and growing profit margins?
