Let's say I am designing a messaging app. What features does it need to have to attract users? What would you want from an ideal messenger?
Actually right now my features are end-to-end encryption and anonimity, also wanna add some dating elements.
Signal already exists

>doing customer development on a cambodian anonymous child rearing forum

All the features of popular messengers.
Do something new and an original idea OP
>>1057944
Make it free with non intrusive ads with the options to pay to get rid of ads. Have a way to be able to chat with people anonymously in your area. And I hope this goes without saying but free picture and video messaging included in the app

>chat with people anonymously in your area
Badoo?

Stop creating shit where there are already 100 different competitors, how hard is it to understand? Try to make something that hasn't been made.

>For example
If he gave you an example then it wouldn't be new or original, stupid

>Try to make something that hasn't been made.
Like what?

there are a plethora of messaging apps that do everything i want already
>right now my features are end-to-end encryption and anonimity
neither of these are valued by regular customers
>also wanna add some dating elements
make a dating app that's aimed at the judgy/catty part of dating that women love
for women the experience should be: open the app, check out the men who messaged them, forward some of the men's profiles to their friends who also use the app, message their friends back and forth about the man's profile either swooning over him or mocking his appearance, etc. then maybe finally responding to him (but probably not)
for men it should be a basic tinder clone - browse profiles, send message, can't send more than one message to a woman if she doesn't respond to the first one
