Stupid Questions Thread!

What do I say to my boss if she gets a call from this new job? I want to keep my current job if I must of course.
What's stopping me from just hiring a foreign broker directly instead of paying out the ass in fees? Do I need citizenship or residency? An established line of credit for whatever reason? I don't have a broker here, so I have no idea what the requirements are generally, I'm just curious. Surely there must be a reason why people don't do that besides it being a bit of a hassle.
