Thats what it means to be a resource based economy. Working for someone else will never allow you to buy a good home anyway. I worked as a software engineer for four years for miserable 60k/year, didnt have any raises, nothing. Last year I realized if I want money I gotta go out and make it myself. Took me a week to find a product to sell on Amazon, a day to sign up and a week to ship it there. Making decent supplemental income now, with less stress than my day job.
