Struggling to find information out there on the most recent country/state to have its energy market deregulated? or even where its being debated

Pennsylvania deregulated its electricity market in 2009. Rates went up 35% overnight and have climbed another 5%-10% every year thereafter. Because reasons. Now we have a constant peddling of schemes not unlike credit cards or cable subscriptions with low(ish) introductory rates that skyrocket halfway into a contract period. Republican talking points BTFO.

Not BTFO. No electricity market is truly deregulated you moron, there's will only one utility company behind it all.
