i'm not sure what the smallest or best way to send would be, but i would be selling tiny individual pairs of earplugs, so they could fit in anything really

it's because i don't drive a car (but i do have my license, it is just terrifying to sit behind the wheel) or leave the house, so i would have to walk/purchase a bicycle and spend at least 3 hours every day simply transporting things to the post office. that is why i want to possibly do it in 1 trip once a week

not sure if you knew, but USPS (post office) offers free pick up of packages of any size or weight. just go on their website and there's a link for "schedule a pick up".

if you live in a residential neighborhood (not worried about things getting stolen) you can leave things out over night.

if you don't want to leave packages out there's also an option to have the mail man ring the door bell to get the packages directly from you.

just need to have things fully packed with shipping labels that you can print off from ebay. USPS is a lot cheaper than UPS which should attract customers and this allows you to ship everyday.

you can buy packing materials cheap. from ebay even. you should be able to find boxes for ~30-50c/apiece, depending on size

i don't know how UPS works, but australia post sells pre-paid postage satchels that match their weight/size classes (e.g. 500g-3kg, 3-5kg, 5-15kg, etc (anything smaller and you can just use a padded envelope with stamps)), with discounts for buying in bulk. i think they are actually cheaper to buy than postage for the same weight/size class. i'm sure UPS would do something similar.
