Help /biz/. I work for an economic magazine every now and then and they asked me to contribute something this month. I usually have to write 5-8 short articles on economic topics (or countries) from around the world that aren't covered extensively in the news. So far the only one I got is how the Sanctions from Russia will affect tourism in Turkey but that's it.
Any other ideas? Need to write them by Friday
Sex tourism in South East Asia and the benefits to their economy.

oh should've mentioned those topics should be somewhat timely relevant to recent news/developments/anniversaries etc.
timely?
Write about how journalism is a good career choice.

Write an article on digital markets - kids who can afford to buy a digital knife in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive for $600.

>Effects of 'refugees' on German economy
>The death of traditional media (fewer movies, fewer cable subscribers)
>The falling job market for STEM careers (once solid major choices now not a sure thing)
>Why Western Men are not interested in Western Women
>The economic rise of Poland.

thanks for the suggestion but the target group are upper class people in their 40's and 50's, don't really think this is something they would care about desu

thanks for the suggestions, will look into them! care to expand on "Why Western Men are not interested in Western Women" though? Never heard of that

Haiti and the fact that they eat literal dirt because they're so poor
The Falklands - how it has moved on from sheep farming
Iceland - recovery from banking crisis or how global warming is helping them by freeing up shipping lanes
Mongolia - commodities crash impact
Nauru - why the fuck not?

thanks for the suggestions, I'll try to look more into Iceland and Mongolia, those seem kind of relevant
Ok so other topics I could come up with were:
China's continues engagement in building its modern silk road in 2016 (which will most likely be strongly mentioned in the next 5 year plan)
Recent developments in the Ivory Coast, especially with the new government and how those could affect the future economy
Economy of the presidential elections (where does the money come from/go to, who spends how much etc.)
And just two things I marked as potential for now: The costs of developing a hydro nuclear bomb (recently North Korea) and the economy of the Superb owl (how much does an ad spot cost, how much ad revenue is there being made, how much do the teams get for winning etc.)
Any other ideas among those lines?
Risk imposed by Russian-Turkey sanctions to Abkhazia remittances from Turkey (almost 50% of their GDP comes Turkey)
Effects of Xi's anticorruption policies and stock market crash to Macau's casinos
Musicians and business: Bowie Bonds, Radiohead's Companies-per-Albim
