Hey /biz/ really quick question
I've been super conscientious about building my credit score. I'm looking to make a $23,000 purchase. My checking is around $26,000 so i'm good for it, plus my income will refill it semi quickly.
My question is, will my amex and things see my balance dropping to $3k and financial review me? I could also finance the thing but It's cheaper in the long run to just buy it straight out.

amex doesn't know your bank account balance unless you report it to them, so no.
if you're talking about a 26k line of credit then yes they will see that it drops to 23k/26k uti.

Credit scores are based on patterns and consistency for the most part. Paying routine bills on time, not caring huge debts (not including loans)
