Have you ever considered starting a religion purely for the purposes of tax evasion?
For example, you could live rent-free as a minister in a building held by your religion.
If the building were held by a corporation of yours, you'd be taxed on your residence there as a benefit-in-kind, but I'm pretty sure nuns aren't taxed for living in convents.
Aren't there large, sociopathic Korean churches that exist for exactly this reason?

I was thinking something closer to Chinese-style ancestor worship, shoehorned into a legal category designed for soapbox protestants.
