Bitcoin's value has nothing to do with global markets. The price is made of memes. Forums where BTC is regularly discussed are a better barometer on the price than stocks are.

Its infrastructure is catching up to bitcoins and its only 6 months old. Chinese exchanges havent even started trading it yet.

Centralised services cannot compete. Once these decentralised systems mature and become more user friendly, the advantages to using them over centralised systems will gut the userbase of facebook and twitter.
