Done. I sold everything today. 100% of profit.

Long term investment in Bitcoin is absolutely retarded OP. But ecurrency day trading is very worthwhile. Its simpler than Forex and easier to hide from the tax man.

I turn about $5000 a month trading ecurrency. I would never sit on Bitcoin for more than a few days though.

That said, I did buy 100 when they were $17, and sold at $1028, but that was the first and only peak, and I'm quite sure it will never happen again.
>>
>>1021775
Could you explain why you think it will never happen again?

We've uncovered Warren Buffet of our age right here gents!

There will come a day when you'll regret selling.

Bitcoin is going to replace money.
>>
>>1021775

what's the difference between e-currency trading and forex?
>>
>>1021856
Bigger arbitrage opportunities and higher volatility.

That pathetic daily shilling.

Thankfs fags, I thought about it, but this shit is just pathetic. 3 threads a day "why no bitshit", fuck no, so much crap means it is obvious it is going to fall. thanks for changing my mind though.
>>
You know OP, I'll be frank. I missed the bubble when it was $5 a coin after the first bubble when it went up to $35 back in the early days. I knew it would bubble again because people were finding about it and Silk Road mk1 was coming into popularity, but I was an undisciplined college kid and spent my $1,500 on a spring break trip in which I stayed in a pent house with a jacuzzi and got crunk with a bunch of hot bitches.

Now I wouldn't touch bitcoin. What you bitcucks don't get is that the extreme volatility is exactly what keeps merchants AWAY from bitcoin. Nobody wants to risk losing a huge percentage of their profits to volatile currency when they have other options. So there will never be another major buy in to bitcoin like there was, and it will not be adopted as a currency standard for online transactions precisely because you keep waiting for it to go "straight to the moon".

sounds great, i think i just have no concept of what exactly that means but i'm looking to get into trading. i only have a basic concept of forex.

can you point me in the right direction to learn more about e-currency trading, and possibly get start with a budget of 400-600€ ?

friendly bump?

Threads shilling it every single day, such as this one are more than enough reasoning I need to not buy Cuckoldcoin.

As a rule I tend to PARTICULARLY ignore and not purchase anything being repeatedly spammed and advertised.

Holy shit, this is as worse then reading a erotic Mormon version of 50 shades of grey. pick up your shit and try asking that question again you ballooning cheese filled piece of shit.

>There will come a day when you'll regret selling.
>Bitcoin is going to replace money.

if you're serious about this then you're delusional.

the more people use bitcoin, the faster the blockchain grows.
bigger blockchain = bigger inconvenience for new users to get started on bitcoin.

at some point there will be so many transactions per day that the blockchain grows faster than people with slow internet can update it.

tl;dr bitcoin scaling is atrocious and completely impractical for large-scale use as general purpose currency
>>
>>1021775
What if you just got some money to play around with? I don't go to the casino like all my friends, so buying bitcoins is my kind of gambling. Is it wrong to look at it as big risk big reward? I go long with 10 bitcoin, and the worst I'm out 4K, but the upside potential could be through the roof.

And why do you think it's never going to peak again? With more companies accepting bitcoins, I would think it has to rise.
>>
>>1022958

Excuse my ignorance, but I did/don't have to update the entire blockchain when I use a third party like Circle, right?

All I've been doing is clicking and buying.
>>
>>1022958
bitcoin is not a fixed thing it is being developed constantly. Any issues that arise can be fixed through consensus. That is the beauty of it.
>>
>>1023398
There are some parts of bitcoin that are so fundamental that if they were broken there'd be no way to fix it, such as if AES-256 gets solved.

There are also non-technical problems, such as if another newer virtual currency becomes more popular.
>>
>>1023406
Quantum computers arent magic they just increase the chance of cracking encryption. Devs could easily add extra cryptographic layers to harden it against quantum attack.

>newer virtual currency becomes more popular

Thats why a smart person would be on the lookout for potential successors to bitcoin to invest in such as ethereum.
>>
>>1023417
>Devs could easily add extra cryptographic layers to harden it against quantum attack.

Could you? I believe you'd need to re-issue every single bitcoin which is impossible.
>>
>>1023419
No, a hard fork would be needed but all that would mean is that you would need to update your bitcoin software or be left on the old chain.
>>
>>1023422
But what of AES-256 encrypted bitcoins in local wallets sitting on someone's drive somewhere, how do you pick up your bitcoin and prove it's yours years after the hard fork?
Given that AES-256 would be broken, anyone could find some old bitcoins they don't own and claim them.
>>
>>1023427
If you believe that you should invest in ethereum which is built to be quantum resistant
