I've known a guy who recklessly gambled since he was a teenager.

It worked out well for him financially, but not psychologically.

People who bet tend to be very impulsive people. While "playing the stock market" can be gambling, most of the time it involves strategy, background knowledge, mathematics, accounting and other factors that make it a more reliable and "scientific" way of making money.

Essentially the guy got rich as fuck doing sport bets all day after quitting college and started obsessing over women that didn't like him. One night he ordered a diamond necklace for 36,000€ for a woman that dumped him, before that he bought a car for her.

At 26 he has enough to retire on the spot. But I don't envy him, all the money has made him insane.

My goal is to make sort of another study income , not become rich or quit my job. Of course it requires a lot of studying the teams and the market but this is something i enjoy and i would do anyway since its my thing.

I bet on football (real football, not European panzy ball) and hockey.

What I usually do is put a deposit down each month and withdraw at the end of the month (the site I use allows one fee-free withdrawal each month). I average a 60% profit.
