I have 1.6 BTC left to spread around so thinking about putting .4 in each of the following:
QTUM
EDG
BAT
TRST
Already put 1 BTC into IOC today.
Holding the following: DNT, TNT, XTO, Hush, CAT
Thoughts?
Is now the time to invest in bitcoin?
I heard prices are dropping and I'm a newbie
We're currently hovering around 10% on the P.Wojak index, still a bit too risky for someone coming from fiat imo. If it takes a sharp spike up you'll know what to do.

This is now a thing
Everyday until it moons.
THERE'S A FUCKING 29BTC SELL WALL AT 141k WHY WHY WHY
>>3314557
sell wall literally means its going to moon
buywall means its going to dump
>>3314566
Not always. People start freaking out at the sell wall and stop bidding and people start putting prices below the wall causing panic selling as well.
While everyone was shilling their shitcoins yesterday I asked a very simple question on this board that got 0 replies, so I'll ask it again since it appears I was correct in a sense.
What is happening now is mirroring what had happened May-July with bitcoin's extreme rapid, unconventional, unstained growth to 3K. BTC hit 3K hovered around it for about half a day, then slowly bled into a rapid, free fall sub 2K. It appears this same thing is happening again with the 5k milestone being hit. During May-June during the "correction" BTC drug the entire market down with it, with I believe 40B in total market capitalization leaving the market.
Do you feel this pattern is occurring again? What will BTC correct to, 3500? And if not, why do you think so?
Can we have an actual discussion instead of bickering and shilling of stupid meme coins?
We are dealing with real money - especially money that millennials seem to be going all in with (me for example)- and on products that really have no application. And I understand that given time, growth is inevitable but the stupid wojak memes on every thread is preventing serious discussion
3500 sounds about right. I like the log-scale chart that gets posted sometimes. 3200 or something is where we would currently be on that chart’s trendline.
And yes, as you can see, it’s dragging the whole market down already.

I think the difference back then was the whole hard fork saga which clearly made the drop worse. I don't think we'll experience that harsh of a dip desu, at worst BTC will hover around the upper 3000's for a little while. There's no reason for it to "crash" so low, I think it's just profit taking after failing to go over a milestone (5000) + panic selling.

Do I sell all my alts and keep them in btc or sell btc as well ?
T-this is just a healthy dip, right guys? Just some profit taking for the labor day weekend right? Everything's going to return to normal once all of this blows over right?
Calm down Nep. It's either you calm the fuck down or lose it all / cash out and continue being a wagecuck. You decide.
wth is labor day

going lower
What's up with this and is it a literal goldmine gamble? Just cuz it's fucking Chancoin?
>>3314131
Trust in the dev team is too low, they fucked up by erasing money from exchanges and not giving it back.
People have their chancoin stuck in Tradesatoshi and Novaexchange (the first 2 exchanges that accepted it)
Devs are just incompetent and after a month haven't been able to solve it.
Worse part is they blame the exchanges. It's just a dead coin at this point. It had potential but the devs are just too childish and irresponsible to actually fix the problem.
Unless they somehow fix it, I wouldn't spend even the leftover coins I have in this.
>>3315060
>haha, lets take over this project from some money hungry guy who will do anything to see it succeed so his premine becomes valueable
>oh, we fucked up the exchanges, we arent that invested in this anyways, oh well
The last dev was probably a scammer but at least he had some sort of reason to progress the project. New devs are just lazy and have no reason to put forth any effort.
Gotta be a balance in these projects
>>3315086
Yeah, the original dev wanted to get rich, but he did a lot for the coin actually. He also fucked up a few times though.
In general a bad coin. But it had a lot of potential.
Like I said, if they fix their issues with the current exchanges, then it could rise in value (a lot, in my opinion)
But before that, there is no way that bittrex will ever accept them, even if they paid for it.
If btc really crashes to $3k or so what will happen to Alts when bitcoin eventually recovers? Will they recover too or be permanently crashed?
>>3314115
WE
NEVER
SELL
depends on the alts tbqh
ethereum will most likely be in the negatives if bitcoin actually dips down to 3k at this rate
litecoin will probably be the most stable, but you'll still go down in usd value
Some alts will die and that needs to happen

You stupid fuck you don't know what you're talking about do you?
How are your neobags?

And goodbye guys. I will be checking out tonight. I believed the guys talking about the whales and the Skype groups took out a massive loan for OMG.

Is Monero worth buying right now? Will it go up again?
Yes.
Monero is expensive and unstable
if you want to invest , secure, decentralize and untraceable digital monetary transactions then buy Cloak coin, its the best privacycoin and its now pretty cheap but on the move again.
Monero will be around $200 in December.
The last week of August was definitely a great time to start investing in crypto and I'm sure glad that I did!
Thanks for all your wonderful advice and insights, /biz/. I have lost hundreds of dollars for apparently no good reason. 10/10, will play again!
Man, look at that!
Freakin' skyrocketed! Lamborghini in no time, as they say!
>>3314071
yeah sure blame /biz/ for your poor investments
Cut your loses and go get some normie money, invest it back when the market is starting to recover
You don't actually lose anything if you don't sell at a loss
