Let me shill you on this fucking coin /biz/, because I think it is really fucking cool.

Everyone knows what a hedge fund is. Most people even know that there has recently been a boom in crypto hedgefunds. The thing about crypto hedgefunds, though, is that US law only allows expert, institutional investors to participate, and all hedge funds require a buy-in of at least 250,000 USD, some up to a million. That's where this shitcoin comes in. They're partnered with a handful of wall street ETFs, a few private investors and a lot of other crypto hedges. What they do is create a portfolio using their pooled fund (BTC, ETH, shitcoins and various ICOs) and sell a finite number of tokens that represent a proportionate portion of their portfolio. That means instead of investing $1000 for instance, and in return receive the correct proportion of the profits of all the same cryptos in their portfolio (like a normal hedgefund) you buy a token which represents a stake in their fund, and the price of the token rises and falls with the fund's portfolio, PLUS the value that exchange speculation adds. The cherry on top? You can cash out in fiat THROUGH THEM. They've raised over 25 million from preinvestors, and have gotten a LOT of press on large websites. I expect this ICO price to at least 3x on speculation alone, and only grow steadily over time as they hedge their portfolio.

>following US laws on hedge funds
Are they also following securities laws? Is this ICO registered with the SEC or are they utilizing an exemption?
>the price of the token rises and falls with the fund's portfolio
How are they accomplishing this? Active market manipulation? A fixed smart contract that buys all tokens at a certain price? Or are they relying on the traders to emulate this. If it's the third one, then this has to be a giant meme if there is no equity tied to the tokens.
>>
>>3405378
As far as I can tell, I believe that profits from their trading portfolio are put directly into their token (minus their brokerage fee) as a way of paying dividends in equity to their investors

Anyone can imagine how many gas the neos will recycle(transaction fees) when neo will be used in a scale like ethereum?
I make about 1 gas/week with my neos. Is it possible to get like double that when the system will be used?

BAT is my alternative.

Saw names behind it (Eich).
Read whitepaper.
Taking on Google & Facebook will attract the ad industry.

Hodling. I will be a Hodling Muhreen soon.

If you're looking for 6 month or a year then Ark might still be a good buy.
Also Bancor could be a good buy.

WHY WONT IT DIP I NEED TO BE ON THIS MISSION
55 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>3405235
It's not dipping because every fundamental for this coin screams that it should be worth more.

Their goal, the people on the team, the already established company behind it, taking advantage of a developing region, and their marketing skills are all honestly coming together in the best way possible, that we've never seen before.

I seriously cannot see this coin crashing back below $10, because everyone that does research into it just wants to keep holding it.

Anon, do yourself a favor and just buy some now. If it dips, dollar cost average and buy more at the dip. I sincerely believe that this is going to be the next coin that will make people want to kill themselves for not buying early on.

OMG has no partnerships, their parent company, called Omise has one with google, its a cloud based company
Also their CEO follows me on twitter lol

The parent company Omise is essentially PayPal for southeast Asia.

From the article:

"THIRTY years from now, Americans, Japanese, Europeans, and people in many other rich countries, and some relatively poor ones will probably be paying for their shopping with the same currency. Prices will be quoted not in dollars, yen or D-marks but in, let's say, the phoenix. The phoenix will be favoured by companies and shoppers because it will be more convenient than today's national currencies, which by then will seem a quaint cause of much disruption to economic life in the last twentieth century.

At the beginning of 1988 this appears an outlandish prediction. Proposals for eventual monetary union proliferated five and ten years ago, but they hardly envisaged the setbacks of 1987."

(Note: the writer is apparently referring here to the events related to October 19, 1987 -- often referred to as "Black Monday"-- when stock markets crashed in the U.S. and around the world, shedding a huge value in a very short time.)
