Ocarina of Time is similar to Half-Life 2 in the sense that it's greatness is primarily within the time that it was released. They both have things in them now that we consider to be unforgivable shit in modern games.
Still the most thoughtful creative designs and challenging and rewarding mechanics in series.
I actually have a bad craving to play it.
It's the last bit that everyone hates, having to get the triforce charts, then the money to translate them, and finally getting all the pieces.
This. People praise Ocarina of Time so much, but it felt so empty. Windwaker never felt empty to me. I never had a SNES so I can't give my opinion on A Link to the Past, but the original on the NES was pretty decent, for its time.
Tough call. LttP is one I still go back to even now. Sure there's a lot of nostalgia factor in that, but the game's aged pretty well I think. OoT is amazing the first time through, but like all puzzle-y games it loses a lot on the replay. Wind Waker is one I avoided for a long time because I had a lot of misconceptions about it. It's actually amazing, and has one of the best Ganondorfs of the series (that monologue on top of his tower at the end is amazing). People who call him "fat Ganon" don't know wtf they're talking about, that nigger dual-wields like a demonic kung-fu master. He's nothin' but brick under that robe.
There's a musical instrument item/way-of-playing-music in nearly every single Zelda (which more often then not will "Warp" you across the map), including the very original game itself.
Pretty much depends on your taste in pussy. Skyward Sword if you're into the whole childhood sweetheart thing. Twilight Princess if you're into being a sub (or if you're into imp lolis). Ocarina of Time if you're into brain-damaged women trying poorly to masquerade as a ninja trap.
Ocarina of Time is overrated to the fucking moon and back. The game suffers because it is 90% focused on the combat system. Which would normally be fine, but combat in Ocarina sucks ass.
Multiple endings are overrated, at least in the sense that you're thinking. Nintendo's multiple endings are the medal-style. Finish with 100% completion or under some other condition and maybe a sprite will be different. They don't want to punish players for getting the "wrong" ending after all their work.
If you pull multiverse into this I'll tell you that every persons play of the game will create a different ending based on how they beat the game and how much they've gotten as well as what precise movement they did to get it.
MM isn't splitting the timeline into 3 so there you go. OoT was a great game, but to me it was too linear and it had a nice big world but it felt empty, especially hyrule field.
Not possible, a good amount of the tasks and getting the masks requires going through the 3 day cycle.
Okay yeah just wondering. To the one anon I didn't mean the split I meant recompleting the whole book thing and then saving the world. Like getting that 100% completion.
Oh i take it that was also for my post. I was assuming that you would still use the time travel, but once you had all the masks and alll the gear and beat all the bosses, go back in time one last time and then do everything for everybody forever and then beat the game
There are games with multiple endings which I love, such as Chrono Trigger and other RPGs, but then there are games which fuck up their endings because of some sort of shitty obligation. Red/Blue/Green endings are the worst offenders in this regard.
For something like Zelda, even considering multiple endings is just going further off the tracks of what makes the goddamn game good in the first place. Fuck cinematics in Zelda. Fuck it in the ear.
I agree with you there. I don't see how LoZ can have multiple endings. It's the fucking Legend of Zelda. We know the story. There cannot be alternate endings. We already have a split timeline
So what was up with space aliens showing up out of nowhere in Majora's Mask for one scene, then never being mentioned again?
I can see Nintendo doing two endings. Standard ending, and 100% ending which maybe has a Yoshi sitting on top of Hyrule Castle for some reason.
Best Zelda is Tetra before they bleached and lobotomized her.
Seriously boys this guy's asking the right questions
>we should get on this
Even still the best with short hair and peasant clothes
Cia is just insane.
Biggest tits in the world.
I don't think she had anything close to Cia though
Her tits are ridiculous but in a good way
It starts off with a big secret, links dead. Now i know you all know, those who are not of kokiri descent, or who goes without a fairy into the lost woods becomes a stalfos. The kokiri girl tells us this in OoT. Link heads to the lost woods to search for navi so he does not have a fairy. That ridiculous drop, the skullkid, its all just a mindfuck. Link enters this weird new place called termina (oddly enough) and sees the happy mask salesman. as he exits he sees all the people hes seen in hyrule. This is not a coincidence but a whole of what links mind could create. It used faces and people he had in his memory to compile a whole world in which he was in. It was a coping mechanism in the biggest sense of the word
This new world, in which link has to collect 4 remains and all the masks, takes a closer look at a more sensitive link. You see, from a young age he was flung into hopelessness, given the task of saving hyrule. He had no time to experience childhood normally or adulthood as a normal person. When link became a stalfos, he created a world where he had to do things normal people did in order to "grow up". Reuniting the two lovers, staying up all night, the dancing mask; all of these things are part of life and growing up. At the end of the game tatl even says its time for them to part ways, time for link to accept his fate.
To further this theory look at the twilight princess. this is supposed to take place 100 years after MM. this new link meets a wolf who teaches him new moves. The spirit wolf that teaches you all your special moves is the key. When not in wolf form he is a stalfos, a skeleton warrior. He says he used to be a great warrior (like link of OoT) and because of the lost woods incident is now a stalfos. And to concrete the issue, three of the songs used to call him are from OoT.
copypasta but idgaf it gets the point across.
Console: Wind Waker
Honorable Mention: Skyward Sword
Handheld: Minish Cap
(Not including remakes)
And just a note I haven't played OoT yet but if it is as good as people say, then it probably deserves honorble mention
Well, here's a comparison with the same costume. This one is Lana.
Twilight Princess topped it for me. Though OoT will always be a classic
If that was the intention then they bloody well failed. Sheik was always obviously Zelda in disguise. I always picture Link and company just humoring her retarded self so she can feel like she really fooled them.
Those tits on Cia are just ridiculously great
That may be true but the context of the time when it was released matters.
Countering that is the replayability factor. While a game may be great in its time period, you don't see many people playing asteroids these days...I just replayed ocarina of time last week
The one where Link gets cucked.
wow, that was very well done. is there a lot of 3d zelda porno around?
I find that hard to believe. Cia's bust is enormous
The problem is she's displayed at bad camera angles that hide the real size of them. It's done on purpose I'm sure, since Lana is the "good girl" and Cia is the "bad girl". But they're the same girl and have the same body. It's more noticeable when they're both in the Seer costume.
Except that when you see them in the same costume, it's obvious they have the same character model. Which makes sense considering they're THE SAME FUCKING PERSON. Of course Lana and Cia have the same size tits. They're the same person.
yeah her costumes cover her up, but if you look closer you can see her huge tits still sticking out
they're not displayed like Cia's are, but they're honestly a bit bigger overall
Really the only one that isn't packing at least a decent handful is Midna in her Twilight loli form. Even Fi could be given a decent squeeze. And Midna makes up for it with that fat ass.
Ruto has some serious cans, and Impa is wearing armor. I'd wager she's got some decent ones underneath. Sheik's got her Zelda titties hidden with magic and over-tight clothes, but yeah I'll give you she's not impressive in that form.
Sheik is packing >>669155169 tied down
Ruto has huge tits
Been here the whole time
Still think that the first is godliness >>669126639
Still feel the original is my second favorite game of mine and that might not change for quite some time
Both aged much better than ocarina of time, OoT was a much riskier bet at the time and turned out great. OoT gets the nostalgia, while I feel windwaker and LttP were superior.
Second place, Saria. She waited for you, anon. But you were just a little too late. Then, after you failed to save her, she helped you save the world.
You left Hyrule to look for Navi, right into her forest, and never came back out. But she never forgot you.
That shit was always tragic. With Zelda you almost never feel like it's real love, it's always just "fated to be" (though it's kinda hard to complain about fate when it consistently throws you ripe titties). Saria genuinely loves you, and cruel fate says "lol nope, go fuck Zelda again".
That's another thing I wish Nintendo would do, have you get with another girl besides Zelda. It'd be fucking awesome to bro it up with Zelda the whole game, fighting evil and shit, but be romantically involved with another character.
No way. The sailing got so bad, the dungeons were ok, and I pretty much wanted to kill myself looking for triforce charts/shards. Still a quality game but I was the least motivated to finish WW out of all of the games.
They could take Windwaker's whole "and once upon a time there was not Hero, and everything went to shit" theme and carry it even further. Link and Zelda are both dead and fucking gone. You, as the new incarnation of the hero, must bravely set out to fucking adventure it up and gather magic McGuffins like always, but this time there's a whole gaggle of fate-worthy females and the Triforce of Pussy, err, Wisdom ends up with a different girl depending on which one you decide to bang. Then you beat Ganon and live fuckily ever after.
