Majora's mask for me Champs.

Tough call. LttP is one I still go back to even now. Sure there's a lot of nostalgia factor in that, but the game's aged pretty well I think. OoT is amazing the first time through, but like all puzzle-y games it loses a lot on the replay. Wind Waker is one I avoided for a long time because I had a lot of misconceptions about it. It's actually amazing, and has one of the best Ganondorfs of the series (that monologue on top of his tower at the end is amazing). People who call him "fat Ganon" don't know wtf they're talking about, that nigger dual-wields like a demonic kung-fu master. He's nothin' but brick under that robe.

Multiple endings are overrated, at least in the sense that you're thinking. Nintendo's multiple endings are the medal-style. Finish with 100% completion or under some other condition and maybe a sprite will be different. They don't want to punish players for getting the "wrong" ending after all their work.

There are games with multiple endings which I love, such as Chrono Trigger and other RPGs, but then there are games which fuck up their endings because of some sort of shitty obligation. Red/Blue/Green endings are the worst offenders in this regard.

It starts off with a big secret, links dead. Now i know you all know, those who are not of kokiri descent, or who goes without a fairy into the lost woods becomes a stalfos. The kokiri girl tells us this in OoT. Link heads to the lost woods to search for navi so he does not have a fairy. That ridiculous drop, the skullkid, its all just a mindfuck. Link enters this weird new place called termina (oddly enough) and sees the happy mask salesman. as he exits he sees all the people hes seen in hyrule. This is not a coincidence but a whole of what links mind could create. It used faces and people he had in his memory to compile a whole world in which he was in. It was a coping mechanism in the biggest sense of the word

This new world, in which link has to collect 4 remains and all the masks, takes a closer look at a more sensitive link. You see, from a young age he was flung into hopelessness, given the task of saving hyrule. He had no time to experience childhood normally or adulthood as a normal person. When link became a stalfos, he created a world where he had to do things normal people did in order to "grow up". Reuniting the two lovers, staying up all night, the dancing mask; all of these things are part of life and growing up. At the end of the game tatl even says its time for them to part ways, time for link to accept his fate.

To further this theory look at the twilight princess. this is supposed to take place 100 years after MM. this new link meets a wolf who teaches him new moves. The spirit wolf that teaches you all your special moves is the key. When not in wolf form he is a stalfos, a skeleton warrior. He says he used to be a great warrior (like link of OoT) and because of the lost woods incident is now a stalfos. And to concrete the issue, three of the songs used to call him are from OoT.
