Yeah they were just linear as fuck with one maybe two questlines. Games didn't use to have 900000 quests spread across a map that takes 7 hours to span. I'd say it's a necessity due to the sheer amount of content nowadays.

I disliked skyrim and oblivions enemy leveling. I liked that in Morrowind I might find some fucked up deadric ruin with a golden saint who would fuck me up. You go back later when you're a higher level. Also it indicated better loot. Since it's in hammerfell, i think the potential number of niggers may be too high. In skyrim, it was whitebread everywhere. I'd like to see more diversity in the areas explored, especially considering that this society has been around for years travelling and trading with eachother, the fact that its still so undiverse is odd.

Too many armour classes. You could have just one "Armour" and have different perks for different type of armour, "heavy" and "light."

Alchemy should be put under "healing magic" perks.

Pickpocket and lockpicking should be under sneak skill, like how they were under sneak and security in the Morrowind.

Different types of magic and their "rock-paper-scissors"-type of effects are just confusing, so there should be just damaging magic. Make it look pretty and thretening and players will be happy. Also makes the "magic resistance" ability usefull.

No flying enemies, they are just irritating. Rats and bandits are enough. Mayge some magic user as boss in some harder dungeons.

Because Hammerfell has some nice island they should introduce ship sailing system, player could sail his/her own ship! It would give even more freedom for player to explore the seas on their own. Of course naval battles would be too hard to put in the game, but sailing is what made the Assassins Creed series so popular.

Stronger buffs. If we are going to let the player in so harsh and dangerous country as Hammerfell we should give them more protective enchantments and blessings from gods, daedra, good deeds and so on. Also more unique god-like items on lower levels so that players can advance in the game faster.

Main storyline should be shorter but more epic. There are so many places to go and some many other quests, that player should not be binded to a long and dragging main story. Make it short but make it feel so much more epic by making player the god slayer, king of Hammerfell and Ruler of Lost Isles with few short quests. That should to it. No slow exploring of the world that makes you feel like a god once you conquer it even if no NPC says anything about your strenght. No, make the player do simple things and then the NPC's should praise him/her/xir, that makes the player feel important.

Also make it the console market in mind.

it should be smarter when it looks at your level: if I spent a lot of time mining and crafting stuff it shouldn't try to upgrade the area that I'm working on because I'm better at crafting, and not at combat
also they should include clearer indications of whether you're in somewhere you're intended to be or not, since in Skyrim you're never sure if you're going to be raped by some bandits or they're going to be easy loot

I'd also love if the NPCs were more protected against dragon attacks, I'm not fond of the fact that I can get cucked out of some quests because a dragon decided that taking a shit on that city was ok, but they were completely unprotected if I decided to kill them

There are different types of marshes. Like more like jungles and then little dryier marshland.

Also, add unverwater battles and you could have new type of terrain, the different underwater areas.

And you could add ability to climb trees, and you could have 3D fights on the massive trees of jungle-like areas.

Even in Morrowind even the smallest towns felt like save havens, welcomed places to go after that hars landscape you just walked through. You happily paid for a tavern if place didn't have your quilds buildings. In Skyrim all you needed was just some vendor to buy your shit so you could go on. I really think that it would be just fine if the enemy has better gear or a higher level but to an extend, If you can just collect every piece of gear from enemys then that would make trading and forging less important.
I think the best thing would be something like an aura to see how much stronger the enemy is so you could decide to flee or fight and come back at a later time, unfortunately that would make it less immersive and something new to elder scrolls.

Donät put alchemy under magic. Make a "crafting"-skill, and in it have perks for magic and non magic item making. Under crafting but smithing, armouring, enchanting and alchemy and you could put some more interesting crafting abilities. Also, remove speechcraft and put under that crafting skill as "merchant"-perk.

Why are Health, Magica and Stamina different? Wouldn't it be more easier to have just one "power" bar that shows all of those? You run, it uses your power, you use magic, it uses your power, you take damage, it is out of your power.

Morrowind story has more depth, the factions are more detailed and interesting, the quests aren't as hand holdey, dungeons aren't as linear...
The combat is worst than Skyrim's though, I'll admit that (not that Skyrim's combat is good).

I enjoyed the classless system more. I thought that the combat was in general an improvement, though i liked spell editor a lot, i felt like the stealth mechanics, skill trees, and other things with skyrim were just done better. The story was good in each. Oblivion's i thought dragged out, Morrowinds was probably the best, and in skyrim the main story was too short. However, skyrim's sidequests were better. The add ons, while i don't like add ons, they were also better. The crafting was grindy in all the games. The shout mechanic in skyrim was cool too. I noticed a lack of character depth in morrowind. Oblivion had it, but not that much, and skyrim wasnt much better. Skyrim did the random events happening about the map pretty well. The only drawback to it was the random drag attacks that happened all the fucking time, but they were there at least.

Did that argument mention graphics once? No. Kill yourself, ignorant nigger.

Morrowind has a good storyline but shit combat. If you enjoy lores and all that nerdy shit, you'll probably love Morrowind,. But other than that, skyrim will be superior in every way.
