ITT: Improvements & changes you want to see in The Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell
>The world should level around the player more, it's not fair or fun to meet an enemy with more health or better gear than the player.
>There's currently so many magic schools that it just complicates things, they should be reduced. We really only need two schools, Good and Bad (damage & healing)
>It can be hard to remember the NPCs because there's just soo many of them in the towns/cities. They should reduce the number of NPCs in settlements and instead add more bandits to caves to make up for it.
>Racial/gender bias could be reduced, if a player plays as a Redguard, Khajiit, Argonian or female they could get extra stats at the start for checking their privilege
but it gives them an advantage at night time
Are people actually taking this bait? If so, how fucking stupid are you?
On a serious note though, I'd like to see
Old one is pure shit
I want my actions to actually change something, and I want to be able to fail quests
I should be able to kill anyone, quest essential or not. If Obsidian managed it with FO:NV, beth should manage it too
>interesting NPC's and followers
>more than one ending
>a last boss that isn't a fucking joke
>factions that actually mean something
I'd like to see a lot of other shit too, but these are the essentials
Yeah they were just linear as fuck with one maybe two questlines. Games didn't use to have 900000 quests spread across a map that takes 7 hours to span. I'd say it's a necessity due to the sheer amount of content nowadays.
Less copy/paste dungeons, more variety
longer dungeons with more useful loot
bring back the spell maker
no level scaling
larger, more dense cities. Even if it means 90% of the houses are useless/empty
less brown and snow
more green and sun
add some mazes
bring back the class system from oblivion
I'll think of more
I disliked skyrim and oblivions enemy leveling. I liked that in Morrowind I might find some fucked up deadric ruin with a golden saint who would fuck me up. You go back later when you're a higher level. Also it indicated better loot. The best loot was in the hardest place to find/ behind the highest level locked door or guarded by crazy high level enemies. Makes more sense than bandits running around in ebony armour.
if you playing a red guard character your allowed to claim that you didn't do anything then allow you to get away with murder and not have to pay a fee for any of your crimes.
a veterinarian skill tree that allows you to run around neutering kajiits.
I don't think Bethesda will ever top Skyrim. They've gone full jew mode so the next TES will probably have the same shitty graphics and repetetive quests from Fallout 4.
I wouldn't get hyped because you're just going to end up disappointed.
Morrowind master race checking in and laughing at all you oblivion , skyrim tards
"remember the new guy?"
yeah i made him the leader of our guild
u fookin wot m8 i want guilds/factions to actually mean something besides faction armor and some gold income, getting more involved, not necessarily being able to be the leader and in general an advanced guild system.
It's a shame, really. They've got all this great lore, and unexplored areas, and they'll probably throw it away on some shallow as fuck action game with some half assed rpg-mechanics.
>actually thinking it's serious and not a parody of the series direction
Oh dear, is /b/ really this oblivious these days?
>not fun to meet an enemy with more health or better gear than the player
Then where's the challenge, faggot?
Why not just have a character creation sequence, and then one big button that says "I win. The End."
I didn't say the engine meant just the graphics you fuck.
They've said they're going to improve the engine.
I was specifically noting that FO4 didn't look as shit as the anon was saying.
How does that mean I said the engine is only the graphics?
>enter tavern after a day of adventuring
>can't even sit on a chair
Bethesda is always "improving" their engine, and yet it has limitations out the ass. They should switch it for a better engine which won't go fucking bonkers if you go above 60fps, actually has the capability to let you climb latters and so on.
Fuck this gamebryo based shit.
it's not even that. it's taking the piss out of what TES games have been doing since morrowind and will likely be even worse in the next game.
>why don't they just do it better?
>I could do it so much better herp derp
>too bad I'm too busy whacking it to loli threads to build a better engine than a massive team of professionals
Any kind of hit detection what so ever. And more than just 2 animations. Maybe even have the the pkayer/npc use the stairs, instead of just bouncing down them using only the heels of your feet.
Did anyone else think the vaults for fallout 4 were THE absolute laziest fucking vaults ever to appear in fallout. Besides the one where curie is the others were fucking lazy and boring
>hey should we have a cool vault that's actually inhabited because that's what players like?
>NAH LETS JUST MAKE IT ABANDONED AND THROW RAIDERS IN THERE
vault 81 was depressing.
>4 levels including the entrance/elevator sequence and the "hidden vault"
>like 25 npc, 30ish with child npc
>no unique dialogue unless you wear specific clothing or armor
>shit tier quests
>no real loot
>no lore friendly story
>they didn't admit it's shit, they said they're gonna improve it
>it's really not that shit, your butt just seems awfully hurt
You sound like a millennial faggot who constantly cries about "muh grafix"

EXACTLY. I was looking forward to more spooky ass vaults but I got one shitty one inhabited by gangsters and one with dead drug addicts. They could have atleast kept them alive would've been cool to see crazy drug addicts.
Hey here's a newsflash captain dickbrain.
You aren't forced to buy, play or care about their games.
Yet you still do cry and moan and bitch because you're a fucking sperglord faggot who needs people on the Internet to validate his opinions.
I want to agree with, but "taking the kids out of"
Nigga u wut?
So show a source fucking liar.
People have been saying
>hurrrr black marsh since before skyrim was announced.
also who the fuck wants a boring ass swamp area? Do Elsweyr like I said. That has deserts and jungles somethings Bethesda hasn't done before
Gothic 1&2, dark souls 1&2, Aryx fatalis.
Make it even more addictive than Skyrim and market the shit out of it so I never have to compete for jobs ever again.
Since it's in hammerfell, i think the potential number of niggers may be too high. In skyrim, it was whitebread everywhere. I'd like to see more diversity in the areas explored, especially considering that this society has been around for years travelling and trading with eachother, the fact that its still so undiverse is odd.
Ninja gaiden, both the og sidescroller and the first 3d one.
Too many armour classes. You could have just one "Armour" and have different perks for different type of armour, "heavy" and "light."
Alchemy should be put under "healing magic" perks.
Pickpocket and lockpicking should be under sneak skill, like how they were under sneak and security in the Morrowind.
Different types of magic and their "rock-paper-scissors"-type of effects are just confusing, so there should be just damaging magic. Make it look pretty and thretening and players will be happy. Also makes the "magic resistance" ability usefull.
No flying enemies, they are just irritating. Rats and bandits are enough. Mayge some magic user as boss in some harder dungeons.
Because Hammerfell has some nice island they should introduce ship sailing system, player could sail his/her own ship! It would give even more freedom for player to explore the seas on their own. Of course naval battles would be too hard to put in the game, but sailing is what made the Assassins Creed series so popular.
Stronger buffs. If we are going to let the player in so harsh and dangerous country as Hammerfell we should give them more protective enchantments and blessings from gods, daedra, good deeds and so on. Also more unique god-like items on lower levels so that players can advance in the game faster.
Main storyline should be shorter but more epic. There are so many places to go and some many other quests, that player should not be binded to a long and dragging main story. Make it short but make it feel so much more epic by making player the god slayer, king of Hammerfell and Ruler of Lost Isles with few short quests. That should to it. No slow exploring of the world that makes you feel like a god once you conquer it even if no NPC says anything about your strenght. No, make the player do simple things and then the NPC's should praise him/her/xir, that makes the player feel important.
Also make it the console market in mind.
>people saying black marsh
>95% of the map is just gonna be this
WOW SURE IS A GREAT PLACE TO EXPLORE. We got uh. Water and uh trees
>the world should level around the player more
it should be smarter when it looks at your level: if I spent a lot of time mining and crafting stuff it shouldn't try to upgrade the area that I'm working on because I'm better at crafting, and not at combat
also they should include clearer indications of whether you're in somewhere you're intended to be or not, since in Skyrim you're never sure if you're going to be raped by some bandits or they're going to be easy loot
I'd also love if the NPCs were more protected against dragon attacks, I'm not fond of the fact that I can get cucked out of some quests because a dragon decided that taking a shit on that city was ok, but they were completely unprotected if I decided to kill them
also I'd like a system that allowed me to fix my wrongdoings, the first city still hates me because I killed a chicken
There are different types of marshes. Like more like jungles and then little dryier marshland.
Also, add unverwater battles and you could have new type of terrain, the different underwater areas.
And you could add ability to climb trees, and you could have 3D fights on the massive trees of jungle-like areas.
I thought Skyrim had a great world, I mean the landscape itself, the forests, the mountains... but the towns were boring, weapon/ item system was retarded.
jrpgs from 20 years ago on ancient consoles had more interesting towns. Exploring places like in ff7 junon, mt corel, nibelheim... Those had more magic, creativity and interest than any place I went to in Skyrim. That's not nostalgia goggles, if i played them objectively side by side (ff7/8/9, skyrim) it'd demonstrate how ridiculously dull skyrims towns are.
HAHAAHAHAHAHA not with fuckin Bethesda animating it bud.
Jesus fucking Christ could you imagine how shitty and laggy that would look? I mean all that sounds nice for another game but anything complex is too much for Bethesdas brains
Even in Morrowind even the smallest towns felt like save havens, welcomed places to go after that hars landscape you just walked through. You happily paid for a tavern if place didn't have your quilds buildings. In Skyrim all you needed was just some vendor to buy your shit so you could go on. Boring places that didn't even look that aesthtic, too small, too many annoying quest givers everywhere.
I really think that it would be just fine if the enemy has better gear or a higher level but to an extend, If you can just collect every piece of gear from enemys then that would make trading and forging less important.
I think the best thing would be something like an aura to see how much stronger the enemy is so you could decide to flee or fight and come back at a later time, unfortunately that would make it less immersive and something new to elder scrolls.
Yeah, vampire raids fucked me in skyrim. I fast travelled to solitude once and it was just like "quest failed" then i got a letter from a courier saying that so and so had died and i got his inheritence. I see on google then that that guys was necessary for some higher level quest that i can only begin after beating alduin the first time.
It's fucking garbage and you know it. Not just because of the graphics, but the repetetive gameplay, it's dull. They also made the dialogue options worse probably to save money like the greedy jews they are.
Keep sucking on Bethesda's dick tho, you naive fuck.
I want to see them include queer/gender-fluid genders into the game. I think being able to choose only male or female is genderist and I will sue them if they don't include other genders
Donät put alchemy under magic. Make a "crafting"-skill, and in it have perks for magic and non magic item making. Under crafting but smithing, armouring, enchanting and alchemy and you could put some more interesting crafting abilities. Also, remove speechcraft and put under that crafting skill as "merchant"-perk.
Why are Health, Magica and Stamina different? Wouldn't it be more easier to have just one "power" bar that shows all of those? You run, it uses your power, you use magic, it uses your power, you take damage, it is out of your power.
Even the vaults in new vegas were more interesting than the ones in 4, specially the one with the plant people that were lurking about, the fucking trolls. It's as if vault-tec had run off of ideas for their fucked up experiments or something
>over 600+ hours in the series
>gets called a fucking casual
ok dude, if i'm casual to you, enjoy having no job, life, girlfriend, or dick.
I Gave an opinion. The other ones had buggy shit about them, and i didnt like oblivion cuz it didnt make sense that i could fast travel to places i hadnt been to yet. Thats a minor one, but still. You suck morrowind dick so much you won't give anything else a chance.

So Lego Harry Potter.
>mfw they streamline TES even more and add more radiant questing than Fallout 4.
idk the main problem with skyrim, oblivion and morrowwind was that the map was too large and lacked depth
they should make few much smaller areas with no room to get lost like cod. i would also like more cool scripts
Morrowind story has more depth, the factions are more detailed and interesting, the quests aren't as hand holdey, dungeons aren't as linear...
The combat is worst than Skyrim's though, I'll admit that (not that Skyrim's combat is good).
morrowind combat is great if you know what you are doing...most people dont ..they cant understand why they cant hit anything even though they have no stamina..fucking casuals
Did i mention graphics once? No, you did.
I enjoyed the classless system more. I thought that the combat was in general an improvement, though i liked spell editor a lot, i felt like the stealth mechanics, skill trees, and other things with skyrim were just done better. The story was good in each. Oblivion's i thought dragged out, Morrowinds was probably the best, and in skyrim the main story was too short. However, skyrim's sidequests were better. The add ons, while i don't like add ons, they were also better. The crafting was grindy in all the games. The shout mechanic in skyrim was cool too. I noticed a lack of character depth in morrowind. Oblivion had it, but not that much, and skyrim wasnt much better. Skyrim did the random events happening about the map pretty well. The only drawback to it was the random drag attacks that happened all the fucking time, but they were there at least.
Did that argument mention graphics once? No. Kill yourself, ignorant nigger.
Morrowind has a good storyline but shit combat. If you enjoy lores and all that nerdy shit, you'll probably love Morrowind,. But other than that, skyrim will be superior in every way.
>arrive at the bridge to the imperial city
>seat of an emperor
>capital of an empire spanning an entire continent
>approach the gates
>5 people walking around
fucking video game hipsters.
Go and play your fucking text adventures.
Don't like never games, hm?
Bet you have enjoyed Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout:NV a lot and you have had over hundreds of hours of fun in Skyrim.
Every answer that isn't an apologise will we consideres as bait too.
Ty. He still hasn't addressed how he was the only one to bring up graphics. I'm in college for philosophy, and for a long time philosophers were professional arguers, so I'm pretty good at seeing he's just deflecting and has no real argument.
