Who still here from the last one?
arm amputees? no.
leg amputees? hands possibly occupied with crutches. maybe no.
So last thread we were talking about how many amputees today are "warned" or scared of devs compared to the past where it seems like many amps embraced them.
I think the internet has a lot to do with it as well as our overly politically correct society.
The internet's made most amps well aware of devs. Because of this I think they have their guard up more than in the past. Additionally, with social media they have all kinds of people from around the globe supporting them, telling them how wonderful and beautiful they are boosting their ego. There's nothing wrong with this, but in the past I'm sure they were much more outcasted and this meant someone who found them attractive for the trait most people found ugly, was a huge plus in their mind.
In relation to the PC stuff there's also the current notion that devs are bad people. It's ok to like big butts. Its ok to like big breasts. It's even ok to like feet. But amputees is unacceptable. It's very taboo to be open about your interest because most amputees have suffered severe trauma to end up one. People make devs out to be evil because out interest largely depends on these traumatic events. I view it as two people making the best of an unchangeable shit situation but I'm sure many don't share this sentiment. People don't choose their fetishes. What makes you tick makes you tick.
You sometimes hear amputees say, "I don't want to be with someone who wants me for my stump. I'm a person!"
Yeah, but that's like saying, "I don't want to be with a guy who just wants me for my breasts/butt/pretty face."
Physical attraction is physical attraction. It's not enough to sustain a relationship, but there's nothing wrong with it being a relationship starter.
i'm trying to recall what happened to her.
Yeah and it is a problem these days with the greater awareness due to the internet, that many amputees are warned during rehab/in support groups that there are "weirdos" out there who are "stump fetishists".
It's not a great way to start things off.
I really hate where society is these days with political correctness and everything in tim buck two being labeled as a fetish and all this other shit, why can't we just like what we like and still be normal people
there are drawbacks to being attracted to amputees in 2016 (everything that's been mentioned plus fewer young amputees because of medical advancements), but we've got it pretty good with the internet. they are easier to find these days
Do it. Good luck. I was a little miffed for a while before I found my gf because I had started talking to another girl (able bodied) and took a month long hiatus from searching. During that time a DAK chicks profile popped up, but she hadn't been active in two weeks and hasn't been on since. Found an awesome SAK who I'm still with now though so it all worked out.
some amputees have no hair, if they lost the leg to cancer.
>hair today, gone tomorrow
>Normalcy is defined by popular and accepted opinion in society
>I have an abnormal interest
>WHY CAN'T I LIKE THIS ABNORMAL THING AND BE CALLED NORMAL?
Because you're not normal if you like abnormal things. It's not bad, it's just a classification. Get over it you simple fuck.
