But Sarah was also the main center-piece of the first two movies. Her having a one-track obligation was a major plotline (she kinda has to have John because it's already happened in the future) and she goes from normal 80's girl to some tough as nails soldier. It's still an 80's action movie, but there was a pretty large character arc there.

I agree with the tenets of entertainment purely for the sake of entertainment. Put tits and ass all over the damn thing, but don't try and call it anything else. A game like GTAV will sell itself mindless fun, but all the snide social commentary and all the diving into characters' backstories show's that it's trying to be something else, I guess more poignant? Sarah's arc is pretty binary: she goes pretty much directly from scared girl to terrorist, which was aided by those characters being in different movies. (And yes, the badass actually starts in the epilogue of the first.) But neither character is really engrossing. The main character of the first movie was really Kyle, and the second was interesting because of the tension of Sarah being both a terrorist and a mother---but that mostly plays out through John and the Terminator.

Though one of my favorite bits of trivia: at the end of Terminator 2, when the T-1000 assumes the form of Sarah, the double was actually played by Linda Hamilton's twin sister.

As far as Grand Theft Auto........ yeah I didn't make it through 4, way too tryhard, so I didn't get 5. San Andreas was a gem though. But my takeaway from all this is that Anita is a glorified motivational speaker and her followers are idiots.

Is she not like, kinda right? I've never actually watched one of her videos before, I usually just see threads like this calling her a faggot kike on a warpath with our beloved vidya, but she's actually quite articulate and gets evidence for all of her points.

I've actually watched her videos, and her points are crap. One of her examples was from a video game like hitman or something like that. There's a part in the game where you are supposed to sneak past a couple strippers. In her video she has the player dragging around the bodies of the strippers claiming their onlu purpose was to be acted upon in that fashion. She doesn't once claim the fact that the player is punished for killing the strippers, or that this moment in the game is less than 2% of the entire game.
