Ask them a question. Something simple like "hey do you know there is a place go get a good cup of coffee?" if you're at a bus stop or something.

See a cute girl at the grocery store buying single serve food? She's probably single. If she's browsing like health cereal ask, "These taste any good? I don't know anything about them."

In a store? Ask their opinion. "My mom's birthday is coming up do you know anything about (insert whatever appropriate item)?

Women love talking and this is an innocent way to get them talking. If they continue to talk after the subject has been changed you're doing well. If they talk for ten to fifteen minutes your golden.

Ask them out. Just say "You're pretty cute and you seem cool. You seeing anyone?" You need to directly ask if they are single that first day or else you can get friend zoned. You don't have to do it right off the bat, but it has to be that first day or first time out.

Just ask them to that coffee shop or someplace close and go from there.
