Hey guys, what's this? What do i do with it?
Found on the coast of Norway today
Not a lot of mosques over here, any other ideas?
It blinks by the way, pic related, I think i just armed it.
Contains co2 by the looks of it
>labeled "Contains Co2 Gas"
What could it possibly be?
> Really expensive
That's what I'm hoping for
Looks like something the coast guard or something would drop to mark a target in the water.
Missiles aren't usually bright orange and it looks to be somewhat aerodynamic.
No idea what the c02 is used for.
Working on it, but my metric tools dont fit. Give me a moment
Guys it isn't a turbine for divers as there is no propeller or anything like that from the pictures.
But there does appear to be an attachment point on top of it so a picture of that would be a bit better to guess about it.
OP, contact the coast guard and see if anyone there can direct you who to talk to about what it is and who will want it back.
This. I suggest hitting it multiple times with a hammer then dropping it. Whilst doing this get yourself a large fire burning and put it in when you are done dropping it.
I'm guessing sonar of some sort. Carefully disassembling it now
A lot of salt water came out.. or some other sort of liquid...
dude seriously...there is a findersfee for sonar torpedo-buoy's that have torn itself from its anchorings. check your local newspapers man.
Just by doing a search on google on your location i found atlest 3 buoy's that has gone missing and its finders fee on.
OP i think you have a ocean sonar sensor for measuring tidal currents...pic related
>stop fucking with it call the coast guard or national weather service if u dont break it there may be a reward for its recovery
does the carbon dioxide tank have any serial number on it? someone in the US could call to see who ordered it
Neat, will look into it when I'm not on the phone
The guys on this boat are probably the ones Who lost it, pic related, browsing the web atm
Call VG or your local newspaper. they would grab onto the case right away. although, you should probably keep the chip as that would be the valuable part (if this was some sort of spy shit from russia)
"Johnson, look at this imaging! It's amazing...we've found a petrified resident...and dildos, dildos everywhere! I've never seen this many dildos in a deep sea archaeological site!"
Can't find any more screws, I'll stop the disassembly here I guess.
My bet is on some sort of deep sea current information tracker.
i'd bet cash money someone would love to know that you found it.
i bet they'd pay money to.
its some sort of hydrographic measuring equipment. (at least it looks like it).
i study hydrographics in the netherlands.
from my point of view it looks most like a magnetometer. (picks up flux changes in the magnetic filed caused by lumps of metal).
but im not sure though
It's part of a towed sonar array. One of the chambers (where the water came out) can be flooded with water to determine the depth the sonobouy travels at. When it's time to recover it the CO2 is released to force out the water and bring the bouy to the surface.
i broke up with my gf a few weeks ago because she threatened me with a rape accusation
OP, its a sonar buoy, the tank is to depressurize it in case it loses contact, thereby destroying it.
I'd get it the fuck outta house asap, it'll fuck you up bad if your within ten feet of it.
Quads never tell lies.
You're a nigger.
