Thalassophobia thread? We haven't had one of these in ages.
I can crawl through the darkest cave and cross the highest rope bridge without even thinking about it but I can't swim in the ocean if the bottom isn't visible
I think it probably came from one time when I was about 8 when my asshole cousin dared me to go swim as far out as possible and then yelled "JELLYFISH ! JELLYFISH".
But 9 years later I fucked his girlfriend so I guess we're even
Yeah, I have that too. Not so much the fear of not seeing the bottom, but knowing there are things lurking below me that could fuck me up easily because they're on their natural environment.
ok I am here, I opened my pc and start dumping some good stuff
Well, I'm not as much afraid of not seeing the bottom as I am of not seeing what could be there.
There was this other time when I fell in a large pond and what I assume was a muskrat touched my leg. To this day I've never swam faster than that
Not sure if this works but it's what I got
You are not afraid thow when you see me fucking your mother
Was fishing off St. Thomas near one of the deepest spots in the Atlantic Ocean.. Damn blue marlin charged the boat and spit the lure out. Got wrapped in the prop. I jump in to unwrap leader from prop/rudder, below me was endless water. Been in open ocean before but got spooked.. Lots of tiger sharks around there too.. Anyway got my lure back...
That's a basking Shark. 0 threat to humans/10
You know, as strange as it sounds, nothing fascinates me more than the horrors of the deep. My life dream is to actually dive an see what terror lies below. I wouldn't even care if I died down there, as long as I got to record it and just show the world what's down there, that would be enough for me. I feel something horrible is down there, but too many people are concerned about space and shit rather than our own home.
I know but it is magnificent...and imagine as you swimming, you turn your back and a basking shark is in your face. You get the picture
Yes, I totally agree with you!
That's it, I don't wanna water anymore
>some weird ass feeling inside.
youb been assrammed by a scuba diver too much.
>motivation to overcome your phobia
>the horrible infections those people are going to get.
well, she tried 2 times and got like this
Not OP, but I think I have a couple more that the previous anon didn't dump. Let me check.
It's already been psoted liek 3 times now. Read the thread, inpatientfriend!
Fuck, you made me type like an invalid, instead of dumping! See what you did?
It's either of these two people, I don't remember from who I pulled that one from, and now I'm too busy dumping, so I can't look for it.
NO THREAT? Git.
>11 years old
>me and my father, Fishing for ocean salmon about 5 Km outside of Grip, Norway
>Suddenly, Basking shark about 200 metres away
>"Look at that!" he said. "beautiful creature. Wont' hurt us though. He only eats plankton."
>2 minutes later i feel a pull on my lure, strong as shit
>I try to pull it up, had to detach my pole from the boat and let it float away
>We decide to leave, not take any chanses with that fucker around
>Allmost back at grip
>Fucker rams the boat, Capsizing us
I allmost drowned, dad managed to pull me up on th eupside-down boat
> Saved by "Redningselskapet 50 minutes later"

>"I'm organising a field trip there with my school of faggotry immediately!" - OP
>one of the only three IRL organism I post out of dozens of impossible looking drawn ones
>that's the one that gets shit on
Forward your complaints to God, I can't do anything about it.
Not only did you hivemind me, but you even posted a higher res one. Fuck me, I'm yours to cuck for the rest of my life. This is the ultimate embarrasment.
They're actually known to be agressive in episodes, especially the females, when they go in to the shallows to birth.
in 1959, two of them killed a fisherman by dragging both him and his boat down just a few miles from here.
OH! A couple years ago i found a video on youtuve with that picture. It was some post rock or ambient music. I started to love these ganres because of this song. Can you help me find it? I tried goodling the picture but it dont helped to me
This one always gives me the biggest creeps
>sweeping the floors of the Sea of nightmares
Bad idea. There's one of those in Redneckville that'll suck your ass down into a cave system and you won't come back out. Blue holes...
Make the water blue, and you may have all may nopes.
I'm out too. I'll get some new ones for the next thread.
Wouldn't say I'm scared of the sea/water. Though I do have an irrational thought of something coming out of the murk of the places I dive which persists every time I dive (2-3 times a week).
To the image of the diver above some white fog, that's a hydrogen sulphide layer caused by decomposing vegetation, in Mexico there tends to be caves under them.
Entirely up to the whim of the seal it seems
Sometimes they can act quite motherly. They are mammals, have mammal brains and mammals at times can be quite odd in the changes of their behavior. Mammals for whatever reasons sometimes just adopt another mammal. Its fucking weird.
nobody posted the scariest shit there is out there in this thread yet?
thanks anon i was looking for that gif.
you shall be praised
I have this phobia since I was a kid. Never thought it was a clinical illness.
