IF you use "save as" you have to open all the pics to get them, otherwise, yea, you get only thumbnails, and it only saves what has been posted so far, while programs apparently follow the thread as it updates.

Saves the whole thread and all pictures in it and creates different folders for each thread.

Enable image expansion in 4chan settings.
Expand all the images you want to save.
Save webpage.
Open folder containing files for the webpage.
Sort by size.
Delete everything that is not jpg png or gif.
Delete system32.

The last step is the most important.

Make sure you check for and click the little green button at the top i it ever pops up, that's the update button. This program lets you keep the original filenames, auto checks the thread for new pics, and lets you save the files wherever you want.
