But it denies the reality of the world we live in. Everything doesn't turn out ok, and it's scary to think that there isn't an ultimate guarantee of happiness at the end of the road. But it makes life that much more precious to us, and in the end, I'll look back on life proud that I took on the world for what it was, instead of what I wanted it to be.
