Sounds like you just see religion as somehow separate from the rest of human experience, when it, in fact, is intrinsic to it. There's a flaw in wanting to quarantine children from an aspect of life as important as this. It's not like scientists or philosophers haven't ever tried to fill in the blanks and answer the important, unanswerable questions like "Why are we here?" in some way that bypasses religion filters in school.
