One issue that I am passionate about is sexual violence. A recent study found that ~37% of women in my state have been victims of sexual assault by men. (It didn't measure other gender scripts unfortunately). In my opinion that's unacceptable. Research also indicates that most rape is conducted by a smallish (4-12%) segment of the male population who are often serial rapists and who don't face the consequences of raping people. That's also unacceptable.

Whitehouse.gov statistics show that women on average make less than males, but that is simply an average of /all/ working males to /all/ working females. It has absolutely nothing to do with men and women working the same job receiving different pay grades, it just shows that men tend to choose higher paying jobs.
There are lots and lots of reasons why men have higher paying jobs, but if I remember correctly one big reason is that men choose higher risk jobs and get paid more because of it.
