With respect, any problems that may occur as a result of Aubrey's goals being realised would pale into insignificance when compared to the 100's of thousands of people that would be saved each day. The population issues would actually be fairly straightforward to deal with (and we would actually have years upon years to deal with them before they could have any negative impact upon resources etc)

Aubrey's goals are not about immortality whatsoever. They are health related. They are about ending the suffering associated with ageing due to loss of cognitive and physical ability. Of course longer life expectancy would be a side effect, but that would not make us immortal per se.

It is an important distinction to make. This is not about immortality.

With regards to antibiotics, Aubreys work is about reversing and postponing the damage that accumulates through ageing. We would still be very much vulnerable to viruses and anti bionics would still have an extremely important role to play in our health.

I assume by cell devision you are referring to the risks associated with cells with DNA mutation from dividing resulting in cancer?
