I don't even know what the movie "Seven" is, and I don't consider myself intelligent, I just try to learn as much as I can from everything that comes across me, maybe I don't understand it, maybe I do, I went to a Dante Alligieri school and this book was explained to us, but I don't wish to prove anything my friend, just to share some good literature.

>>

I mainly read literature in Spanish but now I'm trying to get better at English by reading anglosaxon texts; I mainly enjoy everything but I try t keep myself aways from sci-fi and most of novels.

Don't think that a book is bad in that way, they're all knowledge from someone's point of view and you can always learn something from one of them. I also listen to the stupid guy talk, because inbetween of all the bullshit he says there might be something truthful, that something that the wise man didn't say from fear to be judged.

And when you say "King" you mean Stephen King? No I don't read anything from him, don't really enjoy it, but I don't consider him "autistic"

Worth reading yes,God tier no.
SK goes off on a tangent about unimportant details for fucking pages. Another thing that shits me is the constant references to other books, and to himself. And how nearly every story takes place in Maine, and every protagonist is a writer. I used to love his books(the stand is my favorite), but his writing style annoys me to much now. And nowadays he get paid by the fucking word, and he has no fucking editor anymore so his books are fucking stupid thick now, like 1500 pages thick.

Also, I got a question.

Are there any decent zombie reads? I read World War Z (Which I liked) + that survival guide he wrote. I also read the series feed/ deadline and blackout which was alright but nothing special. Are there any good close to god tiered zombie reads?

Multilayered thriller. The book's intertextuality, well-researched occult subject matter, and incredibly erudite tone give it huge potential for re-reading. I've read it six times so far, and I know that there are still things in it I've missed.

I live about 3 hours from his Bangor mansion. I should have him sign some older copies.
>>
>>579207820
Witty, clever and hilarious are pretty desirable qualities but not necessary for a memorable book in the course of fiction. There are several counterexamples and some examples as well. Adams books are fun to read, but by all means not everlasting. Same is true for Tolkien's I'd say.

Well of course they're not necessary qualities, but they're qualities that Adam's writing has in abundance. I'm just confused as to why someone would fob off H2G2 as silly books unless they're the type of pretentious person who thinks comedic books aren't worthwhile literature, or just plain boring.

critique of pure reason is a very difficult read. many page long sentences. the guy was a kraut after all. Also, he provides tons of examples based on physics, XIXth century physics. A great series about fear of unknown and how that fear affects men.

It's difficult to describe...

It's written in the style of the Canterbury tales and is well deserving of its Hugo award.

There is an interstellar government called the Hegemony of Man. This planet is beyond their reach. These 'pilgrims' have come to see the Shrike, which is a monster/deity. The other books in the series are also worth reading.

I'd say that's almost as awesome as Dune.
