What's funny is that God and Satan has actually made bets. One story I remeber very clearly was about a man who was very successful, had crops, livestock, very loyal to god.

If you want to know the truth, it's that every religion is wright and wrong or neither. As a Jewish born male, shits weird. Judaism: To become Jewish, your mother must be Jewish, if your father is or is not, the matter is small, your mother decides your race.

For anyone who actually TRULY cares, majority of religions have been and still are currently being used as a way to control people. History proves it and actions in today's age prove it.
The fact of the matter is, as of yet there is no 100% definite proof. If there was, people wouldn't care as much, we'd have our answer and many people would.... well the reactions would vary but all in all decisions would be made more easily.
From a human stand point, should there exist a god, we will flock to him/her/it/x
Should there not, we wont really care and the matter would most likely drop.
In the end, whatever saves our butts is what we will probably go with, hence the whole control through religious devices thing.

Again, you're coming from the perspective that the evidence for the Christian God is comparable to the evidence that Thor (or the Flying Spaghetti Monster) is God. I would say the evidence is (obviously) much more compelling for the Christian God.
For the Christian God, you only have to weigh the evidence for one question - was Jesus of Nazareth really resurrected from death? If you don't find the evidence compelling for that historical event, then you can disregard Christianity.
