>The quest for Zodiac continues

Part 1 is now 100% complete. The solved message was the beginning of a new sentence. Part 1 ends with VWYP, confirmed for geocode for Tracy, SF in America (and only in America, anon, you can stop posting in our threads).

A different method was used when decrypting the 18-character string. If this sentence does indeed continue into part 2, it's very likely that the same method can be used to decipher part 2 as well. So that's what I'm going to be doing.

In the meantime, all systematic lists of grammatical errors in Zodiac's writings are appreciated, and analysis of the map and crime scenes (patterns, predictability, mathematical relationships).

> John 10:15-38New King James Version (NKJV)

15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

19 Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20 And many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?”

21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

The Shepherd Knows His Sheep
22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.[a] 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

Renewed Efforts to Stone Jesus
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”

33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?[b] 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe[c] that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

Sure. There's a cipher by Zodiac that was never fully solved. There were 18 remaining unsolved letters. Today I succeeded in solving their meaning, and it's the necessary step to be able to solve the second and third parts, which have never been solved at all.

Anons are now theorizing, contributing knowledge, helping with finding patterns and stuff like that. The Zodiac killer was pretty elaborate.

apparently those characters read - i quote. op paraphrased - like:

OP found that some geolocation thing made VWYP ponit to Tracy, CA, near Mt Diablo and Tracy supposedly is the place in which a victim escaped from Z.
People used Tracy to orient a compass Z made to find bible verses?

It simply confirms an already known point. The planned murder failed, so it was never marked as a crime scene, but I think it should as that was obviously his intentions. In addition it sheds a new light on how to solve part 2, which I'm gonna attempt right now.

If you are in Germany and you get German areas while those without a VWYP area in their country get California, it's obviously not the cartographic system's fault. The values are what they are. Zodiac didn't live in Germany or anywhere but the US. He didn't care about how Germany arranged her citizens. Zodiac cared only about himself. And America. Bless

Basically, you keep finding some bullshit, abstract thing to criticize, something without substance or logic or even actual existence. The fact that this guy who doesn't live in America ends up in a German system instead doesn't say anything about America's system, now, does it? It sure does not. Google is not the keeper of areas. The internet is not the keeper of areas. Countries are the keepers of areas, and Germany is not in America.

Also, if you accept "There was a girl feeding fish in Blue Rocks" as more than an astronomical coincidence, how can you consider the following VWYP landing on Tracy a coincidence? That's astronomical, guy. That's apocalyptic, buddy. You're gonna live many eons before that happens.

>>
>>570179758
I've explained that providing BOTH the exact cipher AND the exact (or even approximately right) decryption means anyone can calculate how to solve it. If you discovered this, you wouldn't simply let it free immediately without any thought at all either.

I'm at least gonna try to solve part 2 before I release the method.

Unless you're gonna be doing deciphering of your own, you don't need to know the method, and you really only need paraphrasing.
>>
>>570179758
The last thread shows op doesn't have a basis for Tracy, other than that google geocode indicates that VWYP is the code for that city. You are missing important info about that conclusion.

>>570180989
This is probably the 20th time I've explained this at least. Here we go again.

After encrypting, what I had was a message. At the end of this message were "VWYP". I had no idea what this was, and I had no bias towards it. I tried to see if it was an acronym by using acronymfinder.com, but none of the acronyms were relevant. I noticed the "location search" function on the site, though, and I entered VWYP with no expectations. It took me somewhere, and when I scrolled out, I realized I was directly east of Mt. Diablo.

VWYP is a geocode.

That's how VWYP was assigned to Tracy. Such a coincidence doesn't happen. It's almost impossible. If you're gonna say that's not the intended meaning, you must also say that the rest of the message was complete bullcrap as well, otherwise you're basically saying the gods are mocking us with astronomical coincidences.

It's not a city code, though, it's an area code. Geocode. It's used by the government and postal service while most don't even know the system exists. I didn't know either until today, and it sure took a while until someone knew what was going on.

It's fitting too because the suspect had military training in cryptography and showed a big interest in cartography as well.

All this has been considered and has caused a lot of turbulence in our threads. No, they're confirmed geocodes. VWYP and VWUP are interchangeable and will both lead to Tracy (dead center of area, not on a business or building of any kind).

At first I was pretty disappointed with having leftovers that didn't make sense, but when those leftovers turned out to confirm it tenfold, it felt good. Kind of spooky.

I still think geocoding is the wrong way.
This is what I get connecting the dots,
VWYP, on a quadrant, clockwise, each letter (or constellation) is on each portion of the circle he drawn. Actually, you can make 2 guesses where the V could be. I think this could be a better track, based on previous work done with his messages.

Area Code For City = ZIP CODE

>>
>>570181387
If it's not intended as geocode, it's simply a coincidence less probably than winning the lottery twice in a row. But there's always the possibility.

I just mean that considering he started the whole map with radians and magnetic north and stuff, that he wouldn't have a problem showing off his super rare military geocode skills. I'm actually wondering if the reason it hasn't been cracked earlier is because no one really knows about that system, and this time it was only a coincidence that I discovered that it wasn't nonsensical, but represents one of Z's exact crime scenes. That's "probably" not coincidence. And I would rather assume he uses all the cartographic methods he has in his arsenal, including geocode, than ignore the fact that the 4 seemingly pointless letters were more directly related to Zodiac than anything else. I think the geocode path is the right way to go. The odds are simply enormous in comparison to anything else.

The relation is that Zodiac was planning on using Tracy as one of his murder sites, so he put a clue in the cipher. If they had cracked the cipher and figured out that it's geocode, they could have prevented that murder. The murder failed, though.

So yeah, he mapped out this spooky zodiac shape on the map and noted the geocode (probably had a cryptic feel to it back in the days) and put it in his cipher as a clue. That's all, really, so when you crack that code and find that geocode and it happens to represent Tracy, you can be pretty certain that it's not coincidence.

What's the basis for this assumption? You can't ignore the fact that Tracy is tiny, tiny little patch of land on a huge globe, and that the code leading to this was four letters from a ZODIAC CIPHER "coincidentally" leading to Tracy. It's just not possible.

>less probably than winning the lottery twice in a row

Why ? Assuming your previous cracking on the code was right, and you still end with VWYP, I find more logic to be bound to a "connect the dots" riddle, rather than pinpointing a location via coordinates. Z showed more interest in mason and symbolism, rather than military skills.
If you look at my picture, there are several elements of consistency:
> overlays (star map and landmap)
> connecting dots (constellations/stars)
> quadrants (each letter is on its own)
> the green square with the dot in the middle
(ok the last one is far pushed maybe...)

What is in support of your theory ?
> supposed military preparation (where else in his clues does it show?)
> casual (and indeed rare) match of VWYP with tracy

Look at the previous clues, how were they solved, then look again at what I've drawn. I find it muh consistent.

But that's pretty much impossible when all you have to work with that isn't part of a sentence is VWYP and you have no idea what to do with it, no expectations. No abbrevations. VWYP has no meaning besides "Vote With Your Penis" and Tracy's geocode.

It's profound how improbable it is that the geocode match is a coincidence. That was the moment of realizing the code had been cracked.

I mean, LITTERALLY connect the dots !
If you connect the stars of those constellations, you litterally obtain those letters VWYP.
What does it mean ? I don't know ! It looks like another clue, another part of the code to crack, or just see what's there in the green spot in the center of the square. Are there any golf fields nearby ?

You say that VWYP <-> Tracy is winning the lottery... what about my picture then ? Assuming that pic is
>star map for June 26, 1970 at exactly 10:15 AM PST, as seen from Mt. Diablo
how many chances are there that stars align within the symbol he drew on the map, each in one quadrant, in the precise clockwise order ? And possibly indicating a known symbol (square with dot in center) that was part of previous code decyphering ?

> But that's not really a clue on Z's part, though, is it?

No idea, I'd look into the position pinpointed by green dot at first. I don't know what part you made it to crack, maybe the VWYP is just the key to help you understand the first part ?

Both are accepted geocodes for Tracy. Don't make the mistake of using Google Maps, you should be using a specialized app. Plain old Google Maps doesn't show geocode areas.

Method 2 on 340 cipher looks promising so far.

I just wanna point out that the ZK was an educated man. His language - grammar and spelling skills - is perfect for about 85% of the time, but here and there he put misspellings to throw people off, make the investigators think someone of less education was writing.

I don't think misspellings in his letters mean anything, unless they are in a cipher.

I'M WRITING A LETTER TO TRACY'S GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS

HERE IS THE LETTER

"Hello, I am helping someone follow a clue about the Zodiac Killer's 408 cypher. The last 18 letters of that letter have remained undeciphered but someone on 4chan's /sci/ board thinks they have decrypted the last 18 letters.

Here is the link to the thread
>>>/sci/6770005
Please look at post number 6770784

He is not releasing anymore information on what the message is other than he has decrypted this into a coherant message. But, in the decrypted code, he has gotten "VWYP" as a word.

He entered "VWYP" into Acronymfinder.com and searched for locations.
"VWYP" came back to Tracy, California.
Here is a link
http://www.acronymfinder.com/~/search/af.aspx?Acronym=VWYP&string=zip

We are all stumped as to WHY "VWYP" is code for Tracy, California.
What kind of coding system is it? Is it still being used or is it an old system? Could someone in the Tracy governmental system know why "VWYP" is used as a code for Tracy?

Once the anonymous OP gets these questions answered, he will release the decrypted message of the undeciphered 18 letters of the Zodiac's 408 letter.

I'm probably not supposed to bring in outside people, but I'm emailing every department in the Tracy governmental system hoping that 1 person recognizes that "VWYP" code. It could be a legal code, zoning code, geocode, or a code of a system that has been replaced years ago.

If anyone knows just email me back and post in that /sci/ thread what it means.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Jimmy Rustle"

>>
>>570184064

Look man I've been following you all night and been supportive, so take this piece of advice in return.

People are never going to get over this geotag thing until they see your decryption and how you got it. Even if you show it with all the proof of non coincidence we've found from the beginning they aren't going to understand it and will thus be easily made skeptical (even I became skeptical way back when that first guy was arguing with you).

The thing is, until you show your decryption and how you got it, some people are just going to have the feeling of "this kid just wrote something into some search engine and is sending us on this goosechase."

Hell someone could even say you just came accross the weird thing on acronymfinder and had recently read/saw something about zodiac and said "hey what if I try to troll /b/ with this"

My main point is that the doubters will be doubters, just brush past them. If you're right we'll all be going crazy about how you and /b/ solved something about the zodiac after 40 yrs of people couldn't.

And if you are somehow a troll, you'll be screencapped by a few people and forgotten in a few ways.

Anyway good luck man. I gotta step out for an appointment. But I'll check back later on your progress.

Ignore the doubters though I'm telling you. They've already costed you hours you could have spent decrypting. Don't let them take any more time from that. And let others bring people up to speed.

good luck bro
>>
>>570200947
>code says the killer's name in full
No. It's indirect. When I googled about the Blue Rocks murders, I read that Arthur Leigh Allen was confirmed to be the killer. The message basically says "I committed the Blue Rocks murders, here are some obscure details to prove it."

If Allen = Blue Rocks murderer, Zodiac = Allen

The clues are that the Blue Rocks woman was feeding fish (for some reason???). I guess there was a little pond or something, I don't know. The 18-letter string not expanded sounds like it's hinting there's a body in/by a lake, next to (?) a bush in (or related to) VWYP. This relation could be on the straight line from Tracy to Mt. Diablo, which goes straight through the "Watershed" on the side of the mountain. This could be the true murder scene on that axis.

The piece has been the subject of a large number of interpretations, mostly for piano solo, but sometimes also with lyrics.
