Metal thread? Metal thread.
I love Power/Symphonic metal /b/ros, what bands can you recommend me?
5.Rhapsody of Fire
I listen to some viking/battle metal to some death metal bands, but power is my favorite genre.
>Sabaton - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSc8EVCpqZU
>3 Inches of Blood - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dvIjjzO2aU
>Powerwolf - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGvao2tFFnY
off the top of my head
>Lamb of God
Sabaton is amazing, been a while since I listened to them tho. I saw Powerwolf live, they are great live but I have never been able to listen to their full albums, not even high.
3 inches sounds cool, the voice...eugh. What do you guys think of this guy?
Eh, not my cup o'tea.
Some of his album stuff is good. But yeah, his covers are better. His voice is quite good though, that's the kind of vocals I like in metal.
Also, fuckin' Gloryhammer.
you don't even need to work out when listening to them
Ah, I saw Alestorm live and it's wild. That's what I like the most about them. I saw them in Wacken back in 2013, it was awesome.
But I guess the best band I've ever seen live is Amon Amarth or Stratovarius...a tie.
SOMEONE STARTS A METAL THREAD WITH TRUE GENIUS!
I LOVE YOU OP!
currently checking out the new Yob album, but I've been listening to this a lot the last few days.
God damn, my fucking niggers. This never happens.
Manowar is True Epicness, though their last album is utter shit.
Hah, true, abs after one album guaranteed.
Also, God-Tier metal here:
Daily reminder that it's pronounced "Aluminium", not the retarded lazy american slang "Aluminum"
And here's something a bit different off their second album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhMfz4HrcEA
Never really got into Slayer, Exodus is my favorite thrash band though
Dude that's kvlt as fuck, but this is way more br00t4l
Somatic Defilement is my favourite deathcore album of all time
>Indian - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QG5nqf1sZw&list=ALGLx1orRGw4W7_T1LzQzUUA8G7sFdvN5g
>Eyehategod - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qA-C7C2zhE
>Lord Mantis - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8q889ez5LY
I'm checking it out
Also for all you Thrashers, here is a VERY underrated and not-so-known Norwegian thrash band (just one of their many great songs) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuRWJHZs-Vg
Why i love Thrash is because of the pure energy that (most)bands produce, for example Lost Society have the running around energy and early Metallica had more the speed and anger energy which i prefer.
I don't think sounding 'core-ish' in itself is a bad thing, I'd say genericness is a bad thing. I mean look at bands like Godless Crussade or Lamb of God, they're definitely core-ish but I wouldn't say they're unoriginal
I don't mean that core-ish sound or core music for that matter is bad, it's just that i don't like it. I love Lamb of God and i don't think they sound core at all.
But opinions vary as they say
Lost Society sounds pretty good actually, but it's not just fucking noise and some guy making noises like he has trouble shitting.
It's a little more Slayer-ish then I'd like, but otherwise these guys have a great sound.
Currently listening to these:
Protest The Hero
Killswitch Engage (First album)
Im really a mixed bag.
What do you reccomend /b/ros?
I listened to the whole thing, I was impressed. It's such a shame that all these metal bands with their "pots and pans being thrown down a wooden staircase" drumming, with two idiots tuning their instruments so low that the strings click on the frets when playing one power chord, all while some asshole records himself taking a shit, is overshadowed by actual talent.
Try some At The Gates
and In Flames
>Protest the Hero
Maybe Lamb of God if you like the drumming on PTH - Volition
