/b/ I have a question that has nagged me for years now.
Surely I cannot be the only person that sees that the world is burning down around us, can I? I mean if you take the time to look around, past all of the walls, delusions, distractions, smoke, and mirrors it is plain to see that the world is in flames. Everyday i question how the populace goes on thinking nothing is wrong, oblivious to the noose around their necks.
Take for example the visible decline in quality in our "modern" culture, everyone is obsessed with celebrities, movies, fashion, and most of all money. We all live behind a smoke screen of distractions (at least in first and second world countries) meanwhile on the other side there are people being exploited carelessly for shit like oil, money, or politics. I know at this point anything I say will be dismissed by many who still live in this delusional paradise, but I seriously cannot be the only person who thinks the world has gone to shit, can I?
>tl:dr the world is in flames, does anyone know/care?
Everything is normal.
But does that make it acceptable?
Doesn't anyone want more than to live a life in service to a society that will turn it's back on you the instant you question it?
Just because it is peaceful doesn't necessarily mean everything is ok.
I am not claiming that i have any foolproof way of fixing it, I am just asking if I am the only one who sees or cares.
The best part is, we have shit going on like the bohemian grove and NSA being unveiled and the reaction minuscule if any at all. We've become lap dogs to the country eating up whatever they give us and anyone who doesn't sallow that shit whole is labelled a terrorist or a nut case.
No what? No I'm not the only one or no i am a fag, stupid, crazy (etc.)?
I know, sometimes I wonder if the whole "crazy conspiracy theorist" stereotype was concocted by the people those who would be in question should anyone listen to the theories.
I share the same opinion OP. I am a Christian living in the middle east. I don't know if you are aware of what is happening here but it's on a downward spiral. The world IS fucked up and has been for a long time, it's just that it has been relatively peaceful for a couple of decades and that gave us the impression that everything is fine.. if you look at history you will see that it's mostly made up of wars and shit
I also love how the second he asks about the club he is escorted out and everyone cheers like that isn't totally strange.
Also sandnigger here.
We're in a constant war now. When i say we, i mean people of the world.
Only difference is this constant war has low density, you can work like nothing happened at warzone.
You're not alone. Just know that. The best thing you can do is not worry too much, try to better yourself, and try to build a sense of community with people you care about. We're living in the calm before the storm, but I think that the shit will hit the fan sooner than later...but I also think that the SHTF moment won't be nearly as bad as everybody thinks it will be.
I know, I have been trying to keep up with global events as of late, and it seems like we are on the verge of a massive shitstorm.
>but as long as there isn't any conflict that involves the first world then everything is ok right?
>I hate modern culture because everyone has the gayest clothing and haircuts. You can also thank amerifags for that because they constantly try and bring in their so called "culture" into other countries even though they have none
>I don't idolise celebrities, I don't think they deserve all the attention they get from crowds and shit for playing roles in movies. It's a good skill but we don't know what they are like until we meet them.
>the reason we need money is to uphold ourselves by getting food for it, a house, transport, accessories and sustenance. People who have too much money are usually greedy scum
>you guys in America let this happen to you because of your terrorist government who needs wars to fuel its economy with money. So when you say "the world is fucked" you can speak for yourselves because America is not the world. It's funny who even after your rant you still have the same arrogant view as all the other Americans by thinking you deserve the best, your country is the greatest and you run the world. America is a sinking ship now which will end within 20-30 years now because of its foundation on lies and wars. "If our country is ever in Tirrany and corruption, we will always be fighting wars under the guise of a foreign threat" -3rd us president.
First off, to get it out of the way, I am, unfortunately, and Amerifag. I have found that I am practically the only one who doesn't believe that we are improving the world by shoving our foot down every other country's throat and claiming that we are "liberating them." I also seem to be in the minority to think that the US hasn't fought a legitimate war (in the sense that it was fought to protect American citizens or soil) in the last 50 or so years. And most of all i seem to be among a handful of people who can comprehend that the USA cannot exist forever and is quite likely nearing its destruction as a nation.
Good joke, now go back to drinking the punch and thinking everything is ok.
That is exactly the attitude i never understand, the idea that things can never be improved upon how they are now and that they couldn't be changed anyway. If that frame of mind had been the dominant one throughout history I bet we would still be eating berries while squatting in a cave. Also I never said I had better taste than anyone, I just feel we should focus more on things that are more significant than what celebrities are dating for the next two weeks.
We'll you are correct. Maybe a revolution or a complete governmental reform would put an end toy your countries evil congress which is fuelled by the ignorance of its people, the complete disregard of the very same people who work the country and are sending those said people to war to fund their country. If america hand no bullshit wars then they would collapse. Why do you think they needed Russia to attack the Ukraine? America and the Ukraine instantly blamed Russia for MH17 because they needed an excuse to attack, does not sound like 9/11 at all, even though they found out later that it was Ukraine. Their government is driven by war taxes.
Isn't that all the more reason people should be upset? Where is all of the civil disobedience that an informed public should be enacting? Why isn't there any dissent about what is happening? You would think that in the country that brags about being the best in the world people would notice something is wrong and do something about it.
I think that's more of a distraction. The biggest problem with America's politics are the dual citizen Israelis who are American politicians, and the "Jewish" lobby for Israel.
We'll that's because the governments in Europe and Australia are supporting America and if they are in the wrong it's all the sudden justifiable. The people in those countries are seeing that now and are getting mad. Their riots are quelled though
Did you see what the Jews did to Palestine recently? They distorted a city complex with air strikes. It was not reported on the news but instead a YouTube channel; and when they retaliated suddenly they are the ones in the wrong
But one must assume that the intelligence of the general population has increased even slightly over time, and hopefully at some point that intelligence will lead to the conclusion that humanity as a whole can do better if we can only set aside our differences and work towards a better future.
>sounds cheesy as hell i know.
Well I would like to hope that at some point people will decide that their lives and freedoms are worth fighting for and take a torch to the structure that has long oppressed them.
You guys are just so wrong.
There are always wars because political parties and nations are always in conflict over resources. The weak constantly attack the strong looking for a way to bring them down.
There is no black and white and there is no way to be be friends with everyone. No matter what your foreign policy is, your country will have allies and enemies. Enemies who will do everything within their power to destroy you, your culture and your lifestyle.
Iraq is no different with their internal conflict and small sub groups getting wiped out. This is how it has always been, and how it will always be.
Even if world peace miraculously happens that doesn't mean that there cannot be deceit below the surface. The relativity of conflict in the world has little to do with how much corruption there is.
You are not alone and I feel the same. This world is sick, I hope we can cure it.
>Compared to imperial age
>Compared to imperial
nigga didn't even say anything about world peace, he's saying it's more peaceful than before, but it's still shit.
I'm just curious as to who's in control of this at the moment, I doubt it's the President
Is it possible there's just one guy or a bunch of guys underneath the surface of the White House controlling everything from the shadows?
They wont because that structure is the only thing between them and being raped, robbed and murdered by every criminal, despot, and religious zealot that this ball of psychotic apes can dig up. America may not always be right but I believe in its people and that they will not allow our nation to become like every other cesspool I have seen in the world. We simply need our people to begin voting and educating themselves about politics again. Better vote while you have the option is IsIs gets here I doubt they would allow you the choice.
Look, I apologize that I apparently didn't get what you are trying to point out ok? I am just saying that whether or not it is more or less peaceful doesn't mean that further improvements can't be made.
>Is it possible there's just one guy or a bunch of guys underneath the surface of the White House controlling everything from the shadows?
They're called Jews. Money controls the world. They control the banking. They control the signal.
While I would refrain from saying there is some secret organization running the world from some hidden lair, I would agree that the government seems to have lost its position of power. In my opinion the world is now in the hands of those who control the flow of currency, namely banks and major corporations.
I don't see your point.
>Police brutality is the same as peasant abuse
>Drug use today same as back then
>Racism today is not the same as racism back then
>Implying poverty is not the same as back then
>Implying religious corruption and molestation isn't the same as back then
The only thing that has changed is we stripped more resources from our planet.
I see it OP. But what can you do, you know?
What they don't want us to know is this generation is bigger than the baby boomers. They created a culture for u. They took away music and gave us pop, they took away news and gave us reality TV. They took away our education or ability to think and gave us smartphones.
It's all a ploy to control the potentially most powerful body of people. But my fellows have eaten it all up and ask for seconds.
What can you do?
Racism wasn't really a problem back then, was it? I mean everyone hated everyone, and they all knew their place. Now today whites can't hate Black's, no one can hate Jews and the Mexicans are the modern Irish.
Oh, finally found someone who tbinks exactly like me. But you are not exactly right. The People know, but they dont want to be True, so they Start to distractes themselves with the stupid shit wenn complain about now. It's a downward spiral. It was ever like this, but it could develop this far this time because of the Lack of big wars
I wish i knew /b/ro. If I had a plan on fixing things I probably wouldn't be here right now, I would be out doing it. For now I just hope that I am not among such a small minority that things will never be allowed to improve.
But is a life of delusion and insignificance really worth extending?
But at what point will people be willing to say enough is enough? I fear it will be too late once people decide to do something.
How can anyone take what you say seriously when you are borderline literate?
the only hope is people learning the real truth of life truthcontest.com
Oh look, another whiney faggot who thinks he's the only one who's got it figured out and everyone else is living the life of sheep.
Your worse than self loathing americans, eat a fucking horse cock.
Sorry, for the fact its not my Mother language and my autocotrect is fucked up
Oh, they will... After The next financial crisis, the next World War, they will be fucking fed up and wont trust anyone. It will be anarchy. Not the good Anarchy, the Hunger games anarchy. Btw, for all the weapon fags: you wont have ammunition forever..
> be me
> patriotic propaganda, land of the free drilled into my head since preschool
> anyone who disagrees with blind nationalism is labeled insane
> capitalism taught as something that makes you free
(literally the embodiment of authoritarian economics, admitted by the founders of capitalism themselves)
> finally hear about MKULTRA back in hs
> read about the usa death squads killing journalists in central america
> read about sociology, politics, economics
> learn and observe for myself how the media is carefully filtered by private power
> read history
> realize we are living in a textbook authoritarian regime
It seems like the governments of the world have finally perfected the art of authoritarianism. They have raised a population that is thoroughly convinced they are free, and reject any opposing notion even if it is backed by evidence.
This population is docile, apathetic, and thoughtless.
I think the last hope for some kind of revolution lies in South america, or in some place like Africa or the middle east. Without a gigantic cultural upheaval, it seems that we are utterly doomed.
Yeah, everybody thought that at some point. When you get older youll realize the world was always a shity place though. Take the world wars for example.
Have fun at school this year! Maybe you'll finally ask out your crush!?XD
However, once a libertarian socialist (aka non hierarchal or anarchist) society is achieved somewhere, and the people there are happy, and it's proven to work, it will likely catch on like wildfire through tools like the Internet.
The real challenge is keeping it alive after it forms, and before it spreads. Because once it becomes clear that hierarchy is an unnecessary abomination upon mankind, those in power will do everything they can to stop it. Even if it means killing every last person there.
This is what happened to Catalonia, 1930s. If you'd look up interviews, those that were part of the anarcho-communist society said that it was the most profound and beautiful thing they'd ever experienced. Realizing the danger it posed, fascist Spain and communist USSR invaded, slaughtering hundreds of thousands. George Orwell himself joined the Catalonian army, it was the fall of this society that inspired him to write his famously dystopian novel 1984 as well as Homage to Catalonia.
>at some point
It seems any and all government opposition among the collective public of the U.S. dried up after nine eleven. There's a bit here and there, but it all falls on deaf ears.
The government uses terrorists as a buzzword to justify anything and everything.
> Why should we invade the middle east?
> Why should the government record everything we do?
> Why should the police be militarized?
> answer: muh turrists
Well, everyone views it as "The first attack on american soil" and "the day we weren't safe anymore."
Bullshit. Not saying it was an inside job, that's retarded, but it's been a damn good excuse for heightened "national security." A bunch of paranoia of an outside threat that somehow makes the government seem like your wonderful protecting buddies. It would be stupid if the government wanting something bad for its own country, riiight?
Fuckin' protest! Riot! Whatever the fuck, spread the word, and for fuck's sake don't use shitty buzzwords and hashtags. Really explain all the bad that's happening, don't just get your friend to yell the same complaints as you, get them to BELIEVE what you do.
You know Why i am laughing right know? Because i am doing that for a year now. I told everyone my Story, opened so many eyes.. And it is still not enough for something to change. It must be something global. Maybe i should make a thread here, but they would just say "look who has finally Seen v for vendetta"
Look up your local antifa or occupy. Great way to get started.
The absolute worst thing you could do is sit by and watch. We have enough people doing that already.
Proof. Show proof. I don't know where in Europe you are but lots of shit is out there damning world powers and being ignored.
inb4 "But my friends just go 'How does this effect me/??1/??'" Tell them how it effects them.
Im actually in Austria, the least affected country of all this shit at the moment. I didnt only tell this to my friends, i told it to my Boss, my collegues, everybody who i ever known. I opened their eyes, told them not to let things Pass by, but to look at them carefully and question whats wrong. I told them everything from snowden to 9 11 to Amazon faking Ratings. I told them to stand up, to participate at Protests, everything.. I Made the stand out of the mass, May i dont hold still contact wth all, but when the time is come, they will be my allies. My allies in a war humane cant win. Only humanity. I still hope for a pyramid effect
this should be a must watch in like all schools. pretty much sums up the root of our issues today and why things are fucked up beyond repair at the moment. the real solution would be to change the society. in my opinion the only solution is the venus project. all other governments and systems so far will lead to our own destruction indefinitely
