Playing with players make you understand the concepts of greed, positioning, countejungling, etc etc, a lot of stuff you will not understand with bots, which are dumb, and that are too late to grasp at 30, when things like these must come automatically, without thinking.

Mine was a fine tip: if you level to 30 only with Coop vs Ai, you will grown as a terrible player with no real experience.

1. Learn to last hit creeps. As in, wait for creep health to get low and then land the last blow on them. Gold you earn from last hitting the creeps will form the majority of your gold by far in most of your games.

2. Gold advantage wins games. In lane, this means that trading minions to hurt your enemy only really gives you an advantage if the pain you put on the enemy means they can't farm without risking death. In the larger setting, towers, dragon, and baron all give substantial amounts of gold to the whole team. Securing objectives is how you win at LoL.

3. Ward. Seriously, the difference between a bronzie and low-gold player can be as simple as warding up. Sure it slows down your build, but getting camped by the enemy jungler makes you completely useless.

4. Read (good) guides, watch higher level players. If you're -really- serious about improving, download LoLReplay and watch your matches for mistakes.

5. Carry more. Sure not all games can be carried, but you are the only constant factor in the games you play. The less time you spend blaming other players, the more time you can spend patching up your own mistakes (because not even pro players play perfectly). Some of the best players I personally know (including two D1 players) almost never drop into the "my team sucks" mentality, at least not openly.

I used to main support (stopped w/ S4 changes. I despise the warding limit), but for the life of me I could never really get used to Lulu. Like, I saw other players smash face with her, but her playstyle just didn't click with me. Sona, Janna, and Leona have always kinda been my go-to supports.

An ex of mine, however (also played a bit of LoL, but never quite cracked 30 because she rages hardcore), had an intense love for all thing Lulu. So I still have a folder sitting on my older laptop with a bunch of Lulu stuff. Shame I'm too much of a bum to dig that piece of junk out and post it.
