he's had this tictac-sized growth/tumor on his whisker follicle for over a year. it occasionally bleeds.

judging by some things i read online, i think it's likely cancer.

I feel you anon. My cat died last Christmas and I had him for ages, he slowly got skinnier and stopped eating until it was too late for anything but a painless death. We took ours to the vet about 2 days ago and the vet told us his kidneys were failing. We knew something was wrong cuz he lost a lot of weight the months prior to this. He was so light any bump could knock him of balance. He was a great friend.

The same thing happened with my fella. he was sixteen when he died.

He started drinking from everything he could find, his 'thirst regulator' went nuts...

we took him to the vet- it was kidney failure.

The vet said- you could take him home and give him intensive care, etc, but the kindest thing to do....

he's buried under an ash tree in our garden. I miss him.
