You should educate on every possible field. This is the only to understand the "truth" and not only parts of it. It's not exactly 'interdisciplinary', or indeed interdisciplinary at all, but I found "Gödel, Escher, Bach", by Douglas Hofstadter, to provide a very deep insight on the nature of truth, perception, language and logic, which I'd say is a pretty decent basis.
