Kudos for getting the 4x4gb of RAM for the extra bandwidth but guessing from that motherboard having another channel of that memory won't give you much of an edge.

2x8gb is usually better for Dual Channel Memory and better memory transfer :Z but I guess 4x4gb could work

I have 32GB of RAM in my computer, not 16. These pics show just 1 SSD and just 1 HDD, but I've got two of each + an unplugged spare SSD and an unplugged spare HDD in the case. Also, I modded the top of the case and now it properly fits on top and looks a little less ugly. Don't have pics yet...

I don't really buy parts to match, so the mobo could be hot pink for all I care. I don't use windowed cases, so it's not like I'd see it anyway. The cable management was tough on this case (Rosewill Challenger). It's a fucking rat's nest behind the mobo and hard drive cage.

6GB of GDDR5 RAM is EXCELLENT and well beyond what you need but having more does increase the performance (i.e. having 2GB is suitable but the more, the better.)

SLI for whenever you encounter another $600, you never know .-.

And as the higher you go in the Series of GeForce, the more easier and better it is to overclock, and the 700 Series, or what I hear from LinusTechTips (because I don't have thousands of dollars to f*** around with GTX Titans) is wonderful to overclock.

It'd actually be a better alternative if you can't go any higher with pricing.

Actuall yeah nvm, found the GTX 780 Ti cheaper than the 770. The trade off to make it cheaper is what they did is make the GDDR5 memory only 3GB but it's more than enough.

With 2GB you can have textures on high but with 3GB you could probably cheat away with ultra.

One of the GPUs is being sent off for RMA, it's overheating even in a single card configuration (100C after 30 seconds of Furmark, while the other card doesn't pass 75C in an hour), and I'm picking up some NF-F12s on the weekend because my motherboard can only vary the speed of PWM fans, so currently the CPU fans are full on all the time.

Both the i7-4790K and the i7-4770K hit 100C at 100% CPU after extended periods of time and throttle themselves (I know because I have both CPUs myself and tested them with the stock cooler before switching to a Noctua solution). If you want full performance, you need something aftermarket. Will the chip be damaged? Yes and no. While it won't die right away, every 10 degrees C hotter lowers the life of the CPU by an extra year, supposedly.
