Imagine a world.
White, Red, Yellow, Blue, Black,
Now put those colors in a certain order, limited to Ying and Yang being opposite.
Do this, post, and I will tell you where this is going, where I need help deciphering
Red and Blue would obviously be fire and water.
Yellow would be lightning.
Black could be said to be earth, as very fine dirt is near black, and many of the minerals that come out of it are black.
White would be wind.
Here is where there is a problem, you are given basic colors, and can't assign every one (mostly because I gave four). But generally, earth is not associated with black, and air is associated with white because it is clear.
Now, Lets split yellow, slightly.
Take away yellow and add orange and green.
Ah yes, now we have only 6.
Lets set this idea away for now, and make a few statements
I made a MS Paint drawing (this is /b/, detailed art cannot be understood by us). If you must Imagine an ACTUAL world, then here, other than that, this is just a spectrum idea.
Now, which side does Blue and Red go on?
You're a fucking moron. Kill yourself you dumb fuck.
Also to answer the OP question black and white are double opposites, blue and red and yellow are triple opposites.
Ah yes, now you are seeing the world as it relates to standards that we grow accustomed. This will be useful to use later in this theory, but for now, lets associate color placement.
i agree that red should go on the bottom as well. but if we are splitting yellow into orange and green would you not have to rethink the whole thing?
unless you attribute yellow to an element of spirituality/soul energy. spirit shit. so earth wind fire water and spirit.
but thatd be pretty gay
This is correct, and is more pleasing to the eye.
But think of it this way.
You are thinking in a straight shading path,
But, for now, it needs to be a centered path, from edge to edge, into the middle
No, if you think it isn't gay, then throw out your idea, don't succumb to the group, weird ideas like this will help later. At least you are contributing instead of being faggots like these:
I understand, I have to go to work soon.
Please don't abandon, but this will not be a one night thing, and will not be completed in a few hours.
I shall save this thread and screencap for future. I will start many more threads to continue on, and will make a freewebs i guess, so I can archive and post.
That way, if you miss a thread, and are really interested, then you can visit.
ok i fixed this faggotry from yin (top) to yang (bottom)
ooh. metal. but would that not be a combination of earth and fire? going by traditional elemental systems at least. air water fire earth...(red clay is what i think of) and black could be something fucking brutal. i dunno. what other aspects of nature are there? decay...death...time...
Decide the website name.
This will not just be a theory theory, I understand /b/ has autisms and the adhd and cannot focus, but I don't know how to explain this, because I can't explain just immediately, that is why I can't just tell you, I don't really know what to tell you.
And your input is most important.
This could be some really important thing in Philosophy/Science or whatever, or it could just be retarded thinking.
Either way, we will get something out of it
i didnt change them
that is what it is yin yang wise,
yellow/green is neutral, actually
im not really taking from the eastern understanding of black and white being yang and yin, but rather in agreement with it.
blue is far more yin than red and yellow is more in the midway, but it is more yang where green is more yin, around lime green would be neutral
what kind of name are you looking for? are you worldbuilding for some project you have in mind and dont have a name for it, or are you just exploring color theory in the hope of some profound revelation?
I was thinking that metal was the same thing, just fire and earth, but again, lets just focus on the color placement currently.
I enjoy the Element posting tho, it will be useful for newly joining people to understand when they read up on archived threads
I suppose both.
OPFaggyTheory webs com
This will be it. I will post shit on it and update it frequently, there is a threads board and shit, so there.
Will publish when I get rid of default shit
i mean I only thing red for earth because of this damn red alabama clay. for fire I think of orange moreso than red. white seems very sterile. like a plasma flame or lightning. a very alien heat. silly natives and their plasma torches.
wtf 4chan no post image, or maybe i do a retard
This is why I asked to hold your theories on Element posting, you are putting too much thought into at the beginning, thats what I did. And I had to rethink everything. Just stay with the basics for now.
Earth, Wind, Water, Fire
Your color choices are
Red, Orange, Green, Blue
Orange might be changed later to better suit Air.
White and Black would be Light and Dark, no?
also the human eye can really only see red blue and green thats why computer screens are rgb and not ryb
Green for earth, orange for water, blue for wind and, and red for fire.
green grass, a sunset ocean, blue cool air, and a fire red.
PS I like the way OP talks makes this feel soothing.
Ok. Now Color placement, blue seems to be split.
People like it on top, and bottom.
Bottom, because it is darker and closely resembles black?
Top, because you are relating it to past theories or other sources?
Well, lets put it in a science standing, When a Star (basically light source) goes through it's life, does it not hit red and black last?
also to add to that
RGY was EXACTLY what i was told was primary in elementary
i had assumed it hadn't changed cuz western school's fucked yo
im glad to see it revised
Fellow autist here. Would like to add to discussion a pertinent point regarding the physical interpretation of the nature of the classical elements. This includes other elements such as metal or lightning as well.
Considering this list of 8 elements: water fire earth air metal lightning ice life.
corresponding to the following colors:
fuck you, it's white red green blue black.
White allied with blue and green, opposes red and black
red allied with black and green, opposes white and blue
Green allied with white and red, opposes blue and black
Blue allied with white and black, opposes red and green
black allied with blue and red, opposes green and white.
I apologize dearly for those that have just joined or those that have been waiting for myself to post. Really, I am. But you have the website, OP is abandoning thread, if there are any other posts that are relevant put them in the forum. Now, I have to head off to work. I shall be back around 4 (given the time now is 5:30 AM)
The elements are designated to colours according to their representation of different phases of matter and pattern of mixing. As we can see the primary colors, red blue and yellow correspond to the elements lightning, water, and earth respectively. Combining two of the these elements creates the secondary elements as well as their colours. Earth and lightning give metal, orange; water and earth give life, green; lightning and water give air, purple.
Each element corresponds to a phase of matter.
Fire and Ice represent directions in thermal energy. Lightning is electromagnetism, and also the phase of plasma whose motion is governed by laws of electromagnetism. air water life earth and metal represent the physical manifestations of matter, in the phases of gas, liquid, self-acting and organized macromolecular structural algorithms, general inorganic matter and solids, and substances of latticed crystalline states, metals, crystals, etc. and plasma as already mentioned.
Other things: It fits perfectly with the color wheel scheme along with black/white gradients being included appropriately as well, as an orthogonal color modifier.
Also, one could deem to extract meaning from the exact wavelengths of the colors I have designated to each element and propose a significance. Perhaps I shall try my hand.
op on mobile here.
thank you, will save now.
