>mfw booking myself to win the title and go on to main event the biggest wrestlemania of all time
Let's dispel this fiction once and for all that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing; he's undergoing a systematic effort to change this country and make America more like the rest of the world. If I'm elected we'll embrace what makes America the greatest country in the world
>mfw booking myself to go over sting at his first ever WWE match at wrestlemania even though everyone told me not to
How long until we start getting Hall of Fame announcements?
The hate for Eugene was a sight to see at the time.
First few weeks were fun and then the IWC turned on him so hard.
I remember some guy bought a "Eugene Sucks" sign to RAW and got it taken away, causing a scene.
The funny irony was Nick Dinsmore was a fucking workhorse in the ring, he was the most decorated champ ever in OVW.
The equivalent nowadays would be calling up Sami Zayn and giving him an aspergers gimmick.
WWE's current relationship with him is weird. He's been fired & rehired as a developmental trainer several times in the past few years. He even made an in ring appearance (Eugene) at a house show with Bayley a year ago.
>calling up Sami Zayn and giving him an aspergers gimmick
Interesting idea anon
>He even made an in ring appearance (Eugene) at a house show with Bayley a year ago.
Finn Balor was the other example I was thinking of, and he'd actually be pretty good at an autist gimmick. Fuck, Zayn would probably hit it out the park too, he was great at that kind of acting with El Generico.
Post your genuine opinion of Kevin Owens
He's really good at being a heel and is consistently entertaining. He's one of the only heels I never root for but always want to see get his ass kicked. I wouldn't say I'm a fan but he's definitely be a great addition to any roster in any company on the planet, you can probably book anyone with him and get something watchable.
Fuck, now I wish we had got to see El Generico in WWE. I guess He was flat out told when he got to NXT that he would only ever be a jobber with that gimmick, but fuck it was a damn good gimmick.
I think his overness and connection to Triple H as one of his NXT "children" will lock him into that Dolph Ziggler, "jobber to the stars" role. Unlike Neville, Zayn's thing is he connects with the crowd and can cut a promo.
He's one of the few people who can job to a lot of other wrestler but can still looks good since it fits his character.
He's the best underdog on the roster right now, he can be bigger than Bryan during the height of yes movement.
>he can be bigger than Bryan during the height of yes movement.
I seriously doubt it, that was like a lightning i a bottle moment. Zayn is certainly way better than Bryan on the mic but he's no where close in the ring and actually was way less of a WWE "look". Zayn really needs to bulk up for the main roster, he's actually not short, just skinny by WWE standards. He lost a lot of bulk with his shoulder injury too.
He's actually entertaining to listen too all of the time due to his permanent butthurt about everything, he's a clever guy who knows his shit and is very articulate, even though he is increasingly wrong about almost everything.
Gets me that the Lucha Underground fanboys and supposedly the LU staff themselves got flustered over Cornette.
>Flying Goat (WWE)
But srs, having a big "moveset" does not necessarily mean he's good. Stone Cold was great with very little more than punching, kicking, and a stunner. Jeff Hardy can do all sorts of shit and is an overrated spot monkey.
>he's no where close in the ring
That's my point, I actually can't take Bryan as an underdog since he's already well known as the best technical wrestler of his time.
Sami on the other hand feels like a true underdog who has many different arsenals on his sleeves to overcome his adversaries but yet still comes short in the end.
His match against Cesaro felt like a Batman against Superman battle, with Sami fought using all of the tricks he has to defeat the much stronger Cesaro.
To be fair, he is incredibly stupid. Not only does NO ONE ON EARTH think pro wrestling is a legit athletic competition, and therefore there's nothing to "expose," but if he REALLY cared about "exposing the business," he'd stop doing shoots on every YouTube channel that will give him the time of day.
Meh I like meme underground and Cornette. He's right that the action should be a believable athletic contest at least for the main title. He's right that meme underground is a TV show. He didn't mention anything about the long term booking which is what meme underground is so great at. As soon as puma came up against a monster without the help of konnan he got beat. Cornette is a very important mind in pro wrestling. But lucha is a weird hybrid of television drama and lucha Libre which is equal parts comedy and flippy shit. Meh. Lawler vs funk 81 is as comfy to me as Pentagon vs Vampiro. Don't blame Cornette for liking what he likes.
People have to try to not take anything he is saying in the past few years to heart. It is just something for this old man to do to earn money, and maybe wind up some people along the way unfortunately. Colt Cabana and SCSA (And I guess Wrestling Observer technically?) pretty much opened the floodgates for this to happen for these guys.
Podcasting and Youtube for people who've worked in pro wrestling who have nothing better to do is easy money. They can get an audience for revealing a little peak into the back because they know that we'll eat this shit up.
Entertainment value is one thing, and that's fine. Then you have shock factor, which is bullshit for views/ratings. "Wrestling insight" is another thing entirely and can be very tricky for people to digest. Overall, it's just some worker's opinion 2bh - take with a grain of salt and move on. Up to the people that it applies to to decide to work on anything, if anything needs to be worked on at all.
Rate Punk's opponent /wwe/
This guy looks so happy desu
>Cornette is a very important mind in pro wrestling.
You mean "was".
He's been irrelevant at-best and useless to the point of being actively detrimental for a long, long time now.
ROH is still only just pulling itself out of its nadir that he put it in, because he basically told the fans they were wrong for liking who they like and forced HIS tastes down their throats, without even a hint of self-awareness.
He's a washed-up old fool.
You are the one who is fucking retarded.
Cornette actually has a point here, the more you talk about the workings of the business in public, the more smarkish the fans get, less interested in the story you are trying to tell and more interested in second guessing everything and being their own booker.
You don't want everyone to know how the sausage is made, it's kinda like how magicians hide the secrets of their tricks.
Cornette does take it too far, but you have to understand his generation was brought up to be more protective of the trade, every time he sees the business get "exposed" it triggers him hard.
And Bryan is also one of the best ever at USING a moveset meaningfully. He managed to become the most over wrestler on the planet by pretty much just kicking people and running around a lot. Bryan is the best of his generation at getting the crowd into the match and hot for the big spots.
>Vince McMahon wants Daniel Bryan to return to monday night RAW in Seattle in a non-wrestling role in order to boost ratings
>anti-smarks still getting worked by the GOAT
>THE POWER OF THE YES MOVEMENT WAS INCREDIBLE
>It took me
>[crowd begin chanting yes]
>[Bryan uses this as pretense to lower his arm because his back aches, smiles, takes it all in and thinks of what to say next]
>As I was saying
>it took me to wrestlemania, but there's another guy on a wrestlemania journey
>a guy with my respect
>a guy who beat me
>that's roman reigns
>i want you to lend him the power of the yes movement with his own chant
>SAY IT WITH ME
But it does, because he's the opposite of what a WWE "Superstar" is "supposed" to be, I.E. what you've been told that >>(You) want.
> fuckin' state of your grammar
No position to call anybody foolish, son.
> implying he's my fave
> implying that I just don't think you're a maroon
Because if there's one word to describe Owens, it's "slow". Guy's easily got way better cardio than you ever have, self-loathing fattie.
razor blade and cocaine
scarface tony montana cocaine
>mfw come into this thread and anti-smarks are getting worked by DBry again
This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. Place your bets lad, how long will he last until he's literally murdered in the ring?
I'm kinda annoyed because he was one of my favourites of all time, but he is going to get murdered. His body of work in wrestling is still GOAT, this shit is going to end so hilariously badly for him though. And start badly too. It's all going to be bad.
How about talk about Bryan's actual moveset, which consists of 90% fake looking kicks? You can have millions of finishers, but if most of your moves are shitty looking kicks that don't look like they hurt, you suck as a wrestler.
You're an idiot if you think Bryan's size stops him doing stuff like that. I know you really, really hate people that aren't beefcakes, but smaller guys can do powerbombs just fine. See Neville.
>Tamina restrains Becky while Naomi prepares to beat her up
>Ref blatantly sees this and does nothing
>Calls for the DQ bell when they put hands on Sasha
Why is such stupidity allowed? There's better ways to break up a faction (what a shocker that all the dumb factions stephanie made up are all dissolved now) than the kind of stupidity that went on Monday.
>moving the goalposts again
First it was 'little guys can't do powerbombs at all!'
Then it was 'yeah, well they can't do it to anyone over 5 foot tall'
Now it's 'WELL THEY CAN'T DO ONE ARM DEADLIFTS'.
Can't they just let him back?
What retard will be upset?
Yes, Daniel Bryan can't do any of his moves
Because if you unironically think Daniel Bryan only knows 4 moves and can't do them well then you have never watched wrestling ever
Knowing lots of different moves is important in plenty of different styles, just not the WWE safe style.
What makes Bryan arguably the GOAT is that he can master multiple styles and always makes it work.
The North American Indie style involves using LOADS OF FUCKING MOVES, moves that would be finishers in WWE style taking the place of clotheslines, etc. British technical wrestling, Lucha etc all generally have larger movesets than the WWE style which is all about punches and kicks + four or so power moves.
The sooner he loses, the faster he'll go back to Vince and it'll be like none of this ever happened
>this triggered by normie memes
Great job protecting your precious imageboard
>someone was paid to animate this
>Joey Styles was paid to commentate this
the best part is it's almost more entertaining than an actual wwe match
it's not who would be upset, but who could be upset. that's the whole 'ppolitical correctness' thign at work today, not about who is offended but who might be.
Additionally why the fuck would you want another asshole over 60 hogging up air time trying to despearately make themself seem relevant?
>mfw that one autist actually changed the thread number after complaining for two consecutive threads
>mfw New Day drops the tag titles to Golden Truth via shenanigans
