1. even as bullet club leader he wasn't going to win the igwp intercontinental or world title because he is openly viewed as a junior heavyweight

so he wasn't viewed as a legit threat even in other promotions

2. removing his paint gimmick his other gimmick is using a lightup or regular jacket like jericho

3. his mic skills and personality are non existent
when people refer to how cool he is they default to his paint or his music

4. compared to other nxt talent his in ring work and move set is very similar and doesn't openly standout except for his use of bloody sunday
