What does it mean when a wrestler is "over"?
>>915420
It means they're done. Finished. Washed-up. Their career is literally "over".
This is why people keep saying that Roman Reigns will never be over.

Figured as much. I've just heard it being overused on actual good wrestlers so I was a little confused.
Stop talking to yourself mate

It means they have the crowd behind them. They get a big pop if they're a face, or lots of heat if they're a heel.
They're fucking with you, it's an old carny term for "going over the rainbow" aka when you make it to the main event of a big show

It's over-used and also used ironically. "Burial" has a similar issue - it's old slang from the time when wrestlers would get fan mail. So "burying" a guy means that you've set him up to get a whole lot of nice/hateful letters. These days people talk about a worker getting buried just because they got made to look slightly strong, and HHH is the shovel man (guy who buries people) because he's assumed to do some of the booking for WWE.
