Name a better feud
Protip, you literally cannot
Your time is over Miz, you're a huge failed meme
Hurricane vs Rock
Al Snow vs Big Boss
Eugene vs Angle
and for non-comedy: Shawn vs Taker
Pretty sure Miz became the champ because Orton and Juff were hitting drug violations left and right and Edge was hurt as fuck so they needed someone else to fill the void until Chipmunk was promoted from ECDubs to Raw.
The pool was pretty thin considering Celtic meme man and Barrett had multiple title reigns and this was during Cena's really really strong era.
so everyone claims Vince had a card set for wrestlemania 32 since 31, but that due to injuries (to Seth, orton, dbry, and cena) it had to be scraped and they've been scrambling since.
What was the card/what was set up? Anyone know?
Reminder that Ryback did Punk's knee-to-the-corner spot followed by a superkick and has also recently done some sloppy over-the-top-rope shit.
>the only one in the fed that cares enough to diversify his move-set match-to-match is shit anyway
>AJ Styles has a higher chance of participating in the Rumble than Daniel Bryan.
That's not really even noteworthy whatsoever since he's hinted very, VERY heavily at it.
There's a lot of chance between 0-99%.
I genuinely believe The Miz to be one of the most underrated talents of all time. Honestly, if WWE were to give him enough freedom on the microphone he could cut promos on matching those of some all time greats such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Granted his in ring ability might not be the as spectacular as you would expect from a top tier talent. But if you take a close look into the history of professional wrestling, you will notice that many main event level workers haven't been incredible in-ring workers.
Look at a guy like Daniel Bryan. Amazing in the ring, no doubt about that. But going back all the way to the days of the old NXT, before it became the NXT it is today, it used to be a reality show like "competition" where each of the rookies had a mentor. Where am I going with this? Well you see Daniel Bryan was in the first season of NXT and his mentor was none other than the Miz. My point is that Daniel Bryan, with all his ablity, was nothing but a mere rookie compared to the great Miz. This in itself should be proof enough that wrestling ability isn't always the most important aspect of a top level WWE Superstar.
Even so, microphone skills alone aren't enough to assert the Miz a "GOAT" label deserving superstar. What does the Miz have that grants him this title? Drawing Power. That's right, arguably THE attribute that makes a superstar is his ability draw. This is the quality that ALL the greats share. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena. And last, but definitely not least - The Miz.
All you have to do is take a look at Raw ratings and PPV buyrates and you will see that during Miz's title reign, these absolutely skyrocketed. Given the chance, he is someone who could elevate WWE to grand new heights, challenging companies such as McDonalds or Apple. By booking the Miz to win the Rumble, WWE could usher a new attitude era, only even greater.
He's not endearing at all he's just shit.
I respect that he's trying but try as he may a 3/10 trying his damndest is still just a 3/10.
Put make-up on Amy Schumer and she's still Amy Schumer; Tell Ryback to do a knee-spot and he's still Ryback.
Normal WWE fans will recognize him as the TNA guy
In a smark city he'll get pops but he's literally a literally who
Since the WWE doesn't really acknowledge TNA its pretty hard to introduce him other than "he's big in Japan"
You're looking too deep, m8.
Even if the majority fan-base don't know of him all he needs is an impactful debut and their labile attentions will be momentarily but firmly held. They'll then care about AJ Styles just because he had a momentous entry.
Basically he needs to get a big pop at the Rumble which he will.
>Monday's WWE Raw TV rating was boosted by three distinct peaks. And, like before WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan was the top draw of the show.'
>WWE World Hvt. champion Daniel Bryan retained his position as WWE's top draw in the males 18-49 demographic Monday night on Raw.
>Leading into WrestleMania 30, the Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H program was the top draw of Raw each week. Coming out of WM30, Bryan as new WWE World Hvt. champion has been solidified as a ratings draw.
Keep getting worked by the GOAT anti-smark
Imma beat Darkseid fo the wurrl heavyweigh champyon chip
> i like the person behind the wrestler, not the wrestler
You seriously need to stop shilling your channel already. It's getting old.
Every god damn thread without fail. No one wants to listen to two mongoloids in sunglasses yell HURR ME NO LIEK SMARKS DURR for an entire video.
Smarks complain about the product, booking, match quality, etc. Which is frustrating, yes.
But they literally just complain about smarks complaining. Which is just autistic.
Baron Corbin has the best gimmick in wrestling today. From the success of guys like CM Punk and Bryan, more and more fans want to see indie wrestlers coming up and getting opportunities in NXT and on the main roster. At the same time, there is a clash when Vince wants a certain type of "superstar" who he sees fit as main eventers - tall, handsome, built guys w/ some sort of athletic background, not necessarily guys who have high workrate or can talk. Here you have a 6'8" built former football player and amateur boxer that absolutely despises indie wrestlers, in a time where fans want their favorites from the indies getting pushed. Baron Corbin is that clash that is going on right now between the WWE and its hardcore fans, he is the disdain that fans have for Roman Reigns personified. The gimmick is so unique and absolute genius, and in the context of NXT where it has now become the indie wrestler promotion (Balor, Zayn, Crews, Hideo, Joe, Busick, Swann, Gargano, Ciampa, Asuka, now Austin Aries, soon Gallows/Nakamura/Anderson, etc.) his gimmick has the potential to get nuclear heat.
>No contract was ever finalized nor signed by the parties.
That I would need to be involved in the contract process was known by TNA prior to my involvement and understood by them.
>TNA and its 1st lawyer did not present in a timely fashion a contract that accurately reflected previous discussions at all. That created great concern tied to past experiences. In that time and prior there was other interest and there were other firm offers on the table and other discussions.
>TNA was aware of other interest and various conflicts. TNA was aware a final contract was required. It was creating that contract and controlled that timetable. Too much time passed early on. Other things came into play. No contract was ever finalized with TNA.
>To suggest I make any decision for my clients is to misunderstand my role and diminish the role each talent has in making their own decisions, and insults the talent in the process.
quote from AJ's agent's statement.
Why are northern audiences so shitty?
>zero pops for good wrestlers
>smark as fuck crowds
Seriously WWE road trips should never extend past Virginia
you cant cheer who you like, you have to cheer the face in every match up, in a heel vs. heel match you cheer the more popular guy, cheering both faces in a face vs. face match is not allowed, you have to pick a side, and chanting anything but "lets go face, clap clap clapclapclap" or "faces name" is not allowed either.
you cant have fun when you watch wrestling, you have to make sure you dont trigger anyone watching with your own opinion based chants.
Heath Slater actually had a brief stint of complaining on social media.
Based Rose has never complained and even came up with the Adam Rose gimmick himself. He dedicated himself to a life of jobbing because he already realized he was quite old and knew it was the best route to guaranteed screen-time.
Rose is the GOAT Jobber.
>drop the LOLSOCRAZY angle
>character instantly improves
You know it would be true
It's actually not that bad.
I don't like wearing shirts with other dude's faces on it so I'd probably wear this one over the one on RAW. There's shit on the back, as per usual, but it's reserved enough to not be an issue.
The only problem is that the shirt's austerity makes the WWE Tag at the bottom all-the-more glaring and offensive.
>mfw a tripshit posts near me
applesteve's thread is on reddit friend
He's comin bros, he's gettin that belt. It's time to play the Haitch
>Kayfabe is dead
I know, but I can still be mad about it
>goldusts reaction to Sandows nigger gimmick.
this guy is funnier with deadpan shit than sandow when he tries his hardest.
its the goddamn undertaker.
he does granddad things.
not play videogames.
It took almost two years but he finally took it
Who out of the [relatively] recently signed "IWC darlings" will become main event level stars in WWE? Who will be mid-carders? Who will never make it out of NXT?
They can't possibly all be top stars in the WWE, since they are competing against each other as well as the entire NXT and WWE rosters.
Has the potential and could be an excellent Main Eventer but WWE is a shitty place.
They have him?
>Honestly don't know who that guy is
Won't leave NXT
Not even that notable of an indy guy, really reaching to icnlude him
Already is. Fairly underwhelming
Possibly for a stint
Tag Team Division
>Balor will make it as long as he'll sell merch
>Hideo is fucked
>Crews is black so he's fucked
>Zayn will have great midcard career and occasional main event push but he's a lanky tallfag so he will never truly make it to the top
>Joe and Aries are forever NXT
>Nakamura will be jobbed to Reigns or Cena or both immediately after his main roster debut, then he will end up in tag team with Hideo
>Balor Club will be fine as long as they'll stay with Balor, once they break up, AJ is fucked, Anderson/Gallows will be pushed because LOL BIG GUYS but they will suck just like Rowan/Harper did
Where the actual hell did you get that from?
All I'm saying is cheer for whoever you want. You're a wrestling fan, its kind of your right to like or dislike any given talent.
Could be quite easily, if creative backs him. And if they keep the demon thing for special occasions.
He's got the charisma and talent. But his looks could be an issue. Apart from that there's no reason he couldnt be ME tier.
If he gets called up, absolutely.
No, ship has sailed
Again, talent and charisma, shitty look so its 50/50 for his future.
Probably not desu
His time with TNA will hurt him backatage.
>>Balor Club will be fine as long as they'll stay with Balor, once they break up, AJ is fucked,
This is such a stupid idea.
Throwing all these other guys to try and keep Balor over because he has no personality of his own is Roman-tier booking. Not to mention that AJ is better than Balor anyway.
Intercontinental at best
Definitely, but he'll go the Daniel Bryan route
I get the feeling he's going to be staying in NXT
If he's not WWEWHC by the end of 2017, I'll buy you all dinner
See Austin Aries
Yes, but only one short reign
Fuck off, no
Yes, he'll have a lengthy reign around the summer one year
I wouldn't be surprised if he walks out of Summerslam 2016 as WWEWHC
No, but he'll have a few title shots and be a feature of multi-man title matches
If the money rumours are true, he's nailed on for a couple of reigns
No, but he'll have a lengthy feud with a champion or two
Put a gun to my head, I'd say Apollo.
Also hearing good things about La Sombra in NXT, that he's motivated to learn english and has a good attitude which is already a tremendous advantage he has compared to how OG Sin Cara started.
Forgot that they had this guy.
Kalisto is on suicide watch, Sombra excretes charisma despite language barriers that'll damn near put a gun to jimmy's heads and make them buy his masks.
Cesaro and aj stylws main event. The rest mid card jobbers
>its a Cesaro vs aj styles match
Why don't WWE have their PPVs on a Saturday night? Would get a bigger share of Europe watching them then. Not every one of their audience is a fat 28 year old manchild that doesn't have a job to get up for.
WWE have enough problems with their basic creative processes and pleasing the fans they DO that directing any attention to captivating overseas viewers should probably take a backseat to elementary quality-of-product.
>Raw and Smackdown are unwatchable
>Corporate's handpicked guy is only luke warm despite being months into a super mega shoryuken push
>Going into one of the weakest Wrestlemania cards of all time due to an utter absence of star power
>Most of the active roster are jobbers
>Older fans tuning out because there's no one for them to get behind
>Hey guys we should totally expand our brand into other countries!
Typical WWE. The product is worse than dogshit and they're losing viewers, but they're more focused on expanding.
> all these outlaw memers unironically thinking that Baloring will be main eventing anything other than supestars
Do they not they realise that the vanilla cunt is literally 2 cm taller than Neville?
Also, i saw an official finn balor figure in sainsburys today and it had ginger hair. I would have got a photo but i was in a rush
TNA being mad AJ and Doc/Anderson didn't sign with them, so the posted it publicly for everyone to see. Mind you, this shit happens all the time in the wrestling business.
They have no legal grounds to do anything since no contracts were signed, but they're just trying to make it look like they were "wrong'd" by them.
That's just something you don't post, especially a company that's getting ANOTHER chance on a new network. It just makes them look bitter.
Why would any talent want to deal with a company that willingly will try to tarnish the names of wrestlers?
I know this is bait but give me a fucking break. Neville is vanilla bean ice cream. At least Finn has something resembling charisma.
Also the whole demon shtick will make fat money when he hits the main roster.
>at least finn has something resembling charisma
What is bait about my post, can you not read or are you just american? Im stating a fact, Balor is 2 cms taller than Neville.
No. While we are on the subject the literal only thing he has over neville is that some people find him attractive in a crooked bug eyed kind of way. Neville has far more ring charisma than him and is leagues ahead of him in workrate too
Honestly, as much as Neville seems like the typical ugly vanilla midget he demonstrated a lot more in-ring charisma during the latter stage of his NXT Title Reign wherein he played a relatively complex not-quite-Heel-somewhat-arrogant-Face punctuated by Zayn being a giga-super-duper-babyface.
This. If Neville's put in the right position, he can shine. And it's no coincidence that some of the best matches of 2015 featured him. I just wish he got more credit and a decent push. He'll never be main event, but I see no reason why he can't be involved in decent feuds and the occasional IC/US title reign.
I like the guy for some reason but he's never cut an entertaining promo
body paint is not charisma anon
You like him because you are subconsciously attracted to him, in spite of his lack of charisma and near rainman non-personality
All balorfags are either closet homos, actual homos or are randyfag
If they wanted to bring back the tested formula of "weekly invitational matches" Neville would be the perfect character and talent to do so.
>Top 3 Worker on the roster behind Cesaro/DBry (the legit best now that they're both out)
>has a fighting underdog character (generic as fuck but it works given his height/style)
Weekly 10+ minute Neville matches ending with based as fuck Red Arrow will pop the jimmies and get him over with marks regardless of how he looks.
Alright Nakamura holding the big belt may be wishful thinking.
But AJ Styles and Finn Balor definitely will. AJ has proven in other promotions what kind of star power he can bring. He's one of the most famous outlaws to "never" work for Vince.
If Finn can sell merch, he'll be A-ok as well. Finn has put NXT on his back for awhile now even though he wasn't supposed to be there for long.
Plenty of guys who weren't THE guy have had runs with the title anon.
Post >yfw Owens goes over and the shield babbies lose their belts
>I wonder what the outcome of a WWE Match will be
The Face will win clean.
Then Ambrose will go onto Wrestlemania to face off with his most grueling trial to date, the ayatollah of rock'n'rolla, Justicho, following Justicho's scathing remarks that Dean is a "rooty tooty loony".
Finn is 1 metre 80 and cannot talk for shit, plus NXT has got exponentially worse since he has 'put it on his back'
AJ has the best chance, shame he looks and sounds like Jamie Noble's big brother
who cares? both have been neutered since their debut.
dean, more than most, does the same routine every match. and that running turnbuckle thing is dumb as fuck.
i haven't cared about owens since he lost to cena twice in a row.
yfw Michael Cole is fired in the next 3 years
>At least Finn has something resembling charisma
i like balor (even sexually), but his work in nxt is a huge meh. neville at least can flip, but balor's "strong style" is not something appreciated by american crowd.
yeah yeah smark cynicism and all that but I was thinking about the actual finish
beeg ended up buried by tables and I think the one before that was brayy being encased in a makeshift coffin
I'm just wondering how this one's gonna end
>everyone thinks we're going to see AJ and other huge surprises
>biggest surprise entrants will be the Brooklyn Brawler, The Godfather and Kevin Nash/Diesel
Only thing I'm remotely looking forward to is the KO/Ambrose LMS match.
So since based Fat Man has so far held the IC championship and has technically won against the US Champion on PPV, it's clear they're working their way up the ladder for him, when do you project he'll make a run for the big one?
well, the magan (how you spell?) brothers at least, but it gets repetitive.
sheik was supposed to have a wwe-written book out in 2008. it was scrapped.
ecw press was supposed to release a ghostwritten book last year. it was scrapped. fuck my life.
Some of the ones in my poll aren't confirmed for the rumble tomorrow, I've put most of the favourites near the top, I'd like to see how you all think/hope it's gonna pan out.
>brock wins which makes the most sense
>sets up for a match that the fans crapped on last year and won't want to see twice
>Vince enacts his grand scheme to force feed him to fans and any chance he has of being accepted by adult fans is out the window
>Immediate shitstorm because the COO of the company essentially just booked himself as champion and into the main event of mania
Three choices and all of them just spell disaster.
>Austin Aries debuted in NXT
>He gets to keep his name
What was the point of changing everyone else's ring names then (except for Joey Samoey)
WWE needs more guys like Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe
You don't have to look like Chris Masters to be a good wrestler, or even just strong in general
>the best option is to have an over the hill attitude era star main eventing Wrestlemania in 2016
I don't know what's worse, the fact that you said it or the fact that what you said is right.
Can you name another fat (not "not lean" like Rusev, actually fat) wrestler who was over though?
Granted, KO is the best in-ring fatass I can recall. Yokozuna was kind of shit, and Big Daddy V was just fucking horrible. Fat BEEG is no good either.
Taz is probably second best "Fat" wrestler in history, and even he was trimmer than KO.
