Anybody have any experience with Feeding Crane Kung Fu? I've been interested in picking up a martial art, and found a non-profit school in my city.
Unfortunately, I have schedule conflicts with Karate, which leaves Kung Fu as my other option. Thoughts?

I know not what memes you speak of

White Crane Kung fu is supposedly the major ancestral influence on karate, so it'd be kinda neat to try both for comparison.
The meme is that kung fu is bad. Because a lot of it (Shaolin particularly) is taught as a performing art rather than as a fighting system.
I'd say give it a try and be open-minded. But whatever you practice, always remember that the big angry drunk dude in da stretz is not going to throw a single slow-motion attack and wait patiently for you to counter. Self-defense must be practiced with speed, resistance and aggression.

>Kodokan
>no mention of Judo
>Karate, kobudo and kung fu
I don't wanna call bullshit because I'm admittedly paranoid as fuck of bullshit martial arts schools, but I'd be wary.

Pretty much was thinking the exact same thing as soon as I saw kodokan.
OP, careful, it might be a marketing gimmick.
