>Royal Rumble comes down to #30 with only three guys left in the ring >Bray Wyatt intro hits >In the darkness you hear "...anyone...but you" >Lights come up and only Roman and Bray are in the ring >Roman spins around to immediately get Sister Abigail'd >Bray motions to Strowman and drags Roman to the edge of the ring >Strowman reaches over and pulls Roman up and over the ropes, slams him down outside the ring >Bray lifts the WWE Title, proclaims that the WWE is his now >The Authority and Vinny come out, freaking the fuck out. This was worse than they hoped for. >The Wyatt Family beat them down, Stephanie screams so much her titties jiggle for the audience >Follow the Buzzards, etc.
>>863143 A second Ministry might be slightly interesting if the Wyatt family hasn't been proved to be a bunch of clowns time and time again, especially their leader. Harper's the only entertaining one of the bunch.
>Swig every time Roman Reigns eliminates someone >Chug if, later on, his "champions advantage" is the #30 spot >Chug if Dean Ambrose eliminates Roman Reigns >Drink if Kofi does another sick near-elimination stunt >Drink for every surprise return >Drink (and, if necessary, sob) again the day after if it turns out that return was one night only >Chug two drinks if McMahon somehow commits Montreal tomfoolery to cost Roman the title in the match >Pour one for a homie that lasted <5 seconds in the match >Drink for NXT callup entrant
>Rumble ring comes down to Reigns and the #28 entrant, HHH. >Trips hits the pedigree on Ramen, getting ready to eliminate him in front of a clamoring Vince at ringside. >Countdown reaches zero, horn sounds for #29 >IF YA SMELLLLLLLLL >Everyone's favorite JaBrony rushes into the ring, beating down Haitch because of course Rock is gonna be face for his cuz >Roman recovers, lines up a Superman Punch on Haitch >Rock complements him with the most electrifying move in sports entertainment...the People's Elbow! >Haitch rises up in a daze, stumbles toward the ropes, and is speared out by Reigns. >Rock and Reigns stare out at Vinny Mac, who looks a bit crestfallen. >Suddenly, Rock grabs Reigns, low blows, and rock bottoms him over the top rope and to the floor. >Rock looks down at the fallen Reigns, smirks, then looks at Vince, who is grinning from ear to ear. >Haitch stumbles over to Vince and gives Rock a thumbs up, then tosses him a pair of aviators. >The Rock dons his shades and turns up his head like in his old heel days. All seems lost to the Authority as number 30 counts down. >The buzzer sounds.
>>864124 tbf Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan was one of his better matches, in fact Reigns had everything going for him around Wrestlemania apart from the support of the fans. I actually liked this match as well as the Wrestlemania main event, it just felt bad because everyone was cheering for Brock and not him. I dunno, it made things interested at least. This is the reality era still I suppose and the that was the reality, he is the top face but then hes not really.
>>864146 kek I recently watched all PPVs from elimination chamber to TLC in like 2-3 days, because I stopped watching this year before elimination chamber and I had to play catchup, but I didn't wanna go through weeks of Raw and Smackdown so I said fuck it, just watch all the PPVs
and I was seriously wondering, either these shows were all shit or I'm getting tired of wrestling
Kurt angle comes in and eliminates rusev Samo Joe comes in and eliminates Kurt angle Sting comes in and eliminates Joe Taker comes in and eliminates sting Cena comes in and eliminates taker Aj styles comes in and eliminates Cena Nakameme comes in and eliminates styles Dbry comes in and eliminates swagsuke Roman eliminates dbry Haitch eliminates Roman Jericho eliminates new day and ambrose and wyatt family and haitch to win the RR
Reminder that the Rumble is soon, so I'll be doing the Entrant Bet again. Depending on how many matches this PPV has it might be instead of the usual /asp/ Predicts or at the same time (no point doing the prediction chart for 3-4 matches). Here's the one we had in 2014.
>Reigns is a bloody mess >just eliminated Mark Henry and two others in one push >exhaustion.jpg >#30 who can it be maggle? >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YTddpjeqA4 >crowd is majorly confused >some stand with confidence and clap while slowly nodding their heads >some are afraid for their lives >Reigns jumps over the top rope to the floor looks on in horror >worms fall into the ring >dinner.jpg >looks at WM logo >weird dancing until credits
>>863262 >Take a gulp each time an entrant comes out not named Daniel Bryan >Die by #29 >He comes out #30 >Gets squashed by Hearh Slater >Heath Slater will win the RR instead of everyone's favorite goat DB >Feelsgoodman.jpeg
Samoa Joe vs Finn for nxt title Kurt angle vs rusev Sting vs taker Some TLC with luchas Dudley's and usos Cena vs aj styles Nakamura vs dbry Haitch vs Roman New gay and big show vs Wyatt's Jericho vs Christian
>>864198 Both were similar in execution, CM Punk getting on the mic in the ring waiting for next rumble entry, though I'd say nexus one was better since there were more of them to go with the strength in numbers thing, just pisses me off when it was Super Cena who ended that =/ At least Cena didn't win, if I recall it was Del Rio.
>>864274 A few weeks after debut: >JBL: He was such a big name in Japan, but was he really that great to begin with? This is the WWE. This is where he has to step it up. >Cole: GREAT POINT JOHN! >Saxton: YEAH!
>Roman, Strowman, and Bo Dallas in ring >I am pushing Bo hard as fuck so after being in the ring forever he bulldogs the fuck out of Roman >StroBro straggles that bitch boi out and drops him >Bout to throw him out >The Rock comes to save the day >They fight >Out comes Hulk Hogan >Hogan and Rock fighting Knock others out >29th Place The Iron Sheik comes out as Manager loses his shit yelling calling Hogan a fucking Jabrony going insane he says he convinced someone to finally come back and beat his Racist Jew Faggot ass (maybe not in those words) enter Goldberg (ironic getting a jew) >He fucks all of them up just Rock and Goldberg left >Lesner is 30 to get title on the deserving champ >all is right in the world and I got to have the Iron Shiek call Hogan a Jabrony Jew Racist Faggot on TV in my dreams.
>Though not a member of the Bullet Club, Nakamura remains one of the most popular wrestlers outside of WWE. Displaying a flamboyant charisma comparable to Freddie Mercury, but possessing the brutal strikes of an elite fighter, Nakamura roomed with Daniel Bryan years ago in California when both were early into their sports-entertainment careers. During media tours for last year’s WrestleMania, Bryan even revealed he once proposed an inter-promotional match against Nakamura to WWE management. >their sports-entertainment careers sports-entertainment its such a shitty way to describe what these people do.
>>864186 This. He is doing this for big one money run so he can retire. He'll probably be upper mid card, maybe wrestle for the belt in a clusterfuck match or MITB but not win. I see him doing 2 years max.
>>863078 Considering he got eliminated from it the next night on Raw, no. Or if you are a smartass that says it is not the same ring so it doesn't count, Hornswaggle has been in the rumble much longer, and Maven lasting a whole year didn't help him win it.
>>863143 >New Day comes out together somewhere in the middle of the Rumble >they're all eventually eliminated >Reigns wins the Rumble >his music hits >Reigns celebrating in the ring >confetti everywhere >suddenly the timer starts back up >due to the New Day shenanigans earlier, technically two eliminations/entrants didn't count >Daniel Bryan comes outs >massive pops >Reigns soundly beats him and tosses him over the ropes >but wait, there's one last entry left >it's Finn Balor >he takes it to Roman, but is having trouble eliminating him >announcers are hyping up Balor like he's some sort of underdog rookie chasing his dream and achieving the unachievable for someone like him >does typical underdog rookie mannerisms, looking shocked at how close he is to almost eliminating Reigns, his face almost in tears because he can taste it >suddenly his face turns blank >Balor holds out his hand and points and finger gun gesture as Roman Reigns >suddenly AJ Styles, Gallows and Karl Anderson rush the ring and utterly destroys Reigns >it's the Royal Rumble, technically there's no real rules set (or at least inforced) about outside interference >Balor orders his boys to dump Reigns' body out of the ring >Balor holds up the title as the Bullet Club carries him on their shoulders >The Authority looks on from the entrance ramp not sure what to make of this, on one hand they don't like Reigns, on the other hand these guys just made a total mockery of the Royal Rumble with their interference and they look like a way more dangerous threat to the Authority than Roman Reigns ever was
We're guaranteed a Reigns, Triple H, Jericho, Lesnar, and Cena final. The whole match is just going to be another "Look how strong Roman is" as he spears guys over the top rope for an hour. So much potential for a good rumble and they ruined it with Reigns.
Haitch wins just for a Wrestlemania match with Roman. Brock fights Rock at mania too.
>>865638 Simple really. I collect your names the same way as /asp/ Predicts and use a RNG to determine everyone's place. First we only did the first 30 people, then so many people wanted in, we did 60 people (for the tag team edition). I figure this year HAS to be the Stable Edition, 4-5 people per entrant.
> Who 16-masterrace here? Y'know, shit like that.
Winners will be the ones who's entrant wins, simple.
>>865719 I'm gonna open it a day earlier than the /asp/ Predicts (assuming I'm doing that, depending on the amount of matches we have this year). And I'll be adding the names as I go along, on Saturday / Sunday.
What's going to happen is the first 30 guys fill every spot, then the next 30 will be divided to their spots, I want even numbers. So it pays to get your name in as soon as possible.
this is designed to build intrigue and blow up the Wyatts as a main event level heel, if only for WM and to get Reigns over a little more (OP note: I don't like reigns, never have and thought he was 3rd best in shield. just dealing with cena2.0)
>rumble starts, usual stuff happens. >Somewhere in between entrants 1-10 a Wyatt member comes out, maybe straw for his size. >I think #1 would be ideal to set up the plan >First Wyatt member is wearing a funky belt like type thing. Don't care what it actually is but the purpose is so he can attach himself to the top rope >even when thrown out he's attached to the top rope so he can't go anywhere. hands/legs free to fight back but will take some shots. >just picture like a strong belt around his waist and maybe handcuffed to the top rope? thought about just handcuffing like normal to top rope but that would lead to an ass whopping and I want a little realism >rumble continues on >other 2 wyatt members enter before #20 and do the same thing on the same side of the ring. >now have 3 wyatt members attached to the top rope and impossible to eliminate. taking some shots but also nailing anyone that gets near the 3 of them. >multiple clotheslines over top rope result in them never hitting the floor >ring gets full of people and wyatts around #23 >ORLANDO, I'M HERE >Bray unchains/unhooks the other members and they now have 4 v everyone else >eliminate people like madmen >ends with Reigns and the wyatts. >reigns fights but is ultimately over powered and no more than 2 wyatts get eliminated >new champ, Bray Wyatt
>spend entire run up to WM with bray on mic, essentially taking the role of vince in the fuck you reigns camp >promos would be amazing and they can hide reigns shit promo ability
ends with wyatt putting over reigns (op note: unfortunately). Can even have vince pretend like he made a new ministry of darkness with the wyatts to end reigns reign.
>>867032 you can take bray face directly after this if you want but it adds a very credible heel (if built up right) AND should lead to the rumble being interested, assuming the announcers draw any attention to the plan and put over the nefarious tactics
make bray a worse dude to make reigns the guy that ends it.
never been done before but in the spirit of heels at the rumble (think lawler under the ring or Austin/Hart)
and in fact it would set up the next shitty, preWM ppv:
reigns vs the wyatt family (non bray) with a title shot at WM on the line. not sure if i like that since it will have him overcome the odds too soon but maybe some help from rock/ambrose someone will make it better?
>>867032 >>867034 >>867038 I agree that Brya and the rest of the Wyatts are the only credible heels that remain in the company. The league of nations are complete jobbers and have already proved that they cannot stand against Reigns. Having the Wyatts winning recently was a good start to making them threatening again, and they can prove their new force in the rumble as you said, eliminating most of the people, even Reigns and his friends (the usos and ambrose). I don't thing they need the belt thing, if Strowman enters first for the Wyatts he can hold on in the rings until the next Wyatt enters and with two Wyatts they can practically control the ring.
>>867090 >daniel bryan returns >does his kicks >takes a bump >concussion because his bones are literally wet paper >other wrestlers point to this as evidence that WWE is unsafe >win their suit against the WWE for concussions >reputation tarnished as vince is forced to hand out billions to these wrestlers as compensation for years of head trauma
>>867095 >>867190 A little neck surgery can't stop American Dragon, the fucking guy has been cleared by NFL doctors (which deal more with concussions and have more experience than the WWE doctors). So if he let him return he will probably wrestle for the next 10 years without any serious injury, he just need to stop doing the diving headbutt.
>>867276 you missed my point. he might be medically cleared but I can guarnatee with the same level of certainty of your claims that every doctor has told him his quality of life will be effected down the road.
i don't like having that on my conscious. Seriously, watch mick foley walk sometime. breaks my heart and I cheered that fucker on like it was my job. remember vividly being in my friends basement, slice of pep/sausage/onion pizza in my mouth when Taker threw him off that cage. I wanted more, got more and now the fucker can't walk.
I don't want that guilt man. Loved me some D-bry and he did my favorite thing in wrestling too (turning with the belt) and he was an actual underdog.
having said all that I would love him to be a WM only performer maybe.....
>>867287 The wrestlers know what they are doing, they put their bodies on the line to entertain people. Foley has stated that he will do all they things he did all over again if given the chance, so you shouldn't feel bad, they know the risks and they take them, not because of the money but because the love from the crowds.
so /asp/ what would be some good books for someone interested in the history of Professional Wrestling to look into, already read both of the biographical comics that were recently made for Andre The Giant
>>867492 >also any good places to watch wrestling for free? watchwrestling.ch its pretty good >good books for someone interested in the history of Professional Wrestling The books from Foley and Jericho are really good, both have shit ton of experience around the world that you learn a lot from them.
>>868915 What I mean is that they pretty much saved The Rock ass, when Austin got injured and Rocky was forced to lead the guys he only had his charisma, his technical skill was shit, thanks to Benoit, Guerrero and Malenko he could put some good matches and learned from them. Maybe Styles, Nakamura and Balor can help Reigns to put good matches and learn from them in the process.
>>871084 I'm a proud smark and I would support the fuck out of him as champ again. He's honestly too old for it but the state of the WWE is such shit that even flabby Fozzy Frontman would elevate the product.
>>864154 You know its bad when >Becky and Sasha have a good 20 minute match at Takeover: Brooklyn >moved to the main roster >Becky and Sasha have a 13 minute match at TLC >on the preshow >and its mostly rest holds
>>872935 Where to start... >Sheik was arrested for possession of cocaine in 87 and plead guilty >called the police a bunch of "American cock-suckers like Hulk Hogan" >Vince asked Sheik to drop the title he won off Bob Backlund to Hogan and said he'd owe Sheik and give him some big amount of money (I don't remember how much, maybe it was a million) >never did >Sheik called him a cock-sucker for never giving him the money >Vince suspended him >Sheik started spreading rumors about Hogan and telling everyone he's a fraud and how Vince screwed him over forcing him to give up the title >Vince finally just fires Sheik >don't hear from him again until 2005 when he was inducted into the HoF >now he essentially trashes every wrestler on twitter
love the guy to death, but I don't see him ever coming back to WWE. Which is a shame because I'd love to see camel clutch vs paragon hold at mania one day.
>>872956 I don't think so. Last time I even heard about him was when Jinder Mahal was using the Camel Clutch as a finisher which I believe was in 2012.
Other then that I think WWE was going to make a Big Brother-esque show with old school wrestlers like Piper, Snuka and Sheik at some point and they asked people to vote on who they'd like to see in the house.
>>872966 >doesn't hate Iron Sheik >wrestler had to cut him off because he was bad mouthing Vince's golden boy Hogan >never appeared on RAW or Smackdown >no mention of him ever >meanwhile Hogan gets to come out and shill for Susan G. Scammin as well as Cena >no one even mentions him whenever Rusev uses the camel clutch
>>872978 He appeared once on RAW just to do the opening with Piper and Luis Guzmán. Then appeared once on Smackdown backstage with Slaughter. Meanwhile Piper has gotten to come out to the ring and do a staredown with The SHIELD on Piper's Pit. Even Rusev and Lana got to appear with him. Hell Slaughter got to fight Del Rio and Swagger in like 2010.
Sheik just gets to appear in backstage segments where they give him only a few lines and if he starts going off on Hogan they usually pan away and try to calm him down. If that's not proof enough Vince hates Sheik I don't know what is.
>>873195 >what the hell exactly happens that causes this ridiculous change when the only thing that's changed is their in the mainroster and in front of a bigger audience They only gave the illusion that they could wrestle since their matches were rehearsed to death. Now they are on the main roster, they have little time to rehearse between house shows and fan events such that it exposes their mediocre ability.
Lots of things. Less time to prep/rehearse, less help from road agents, a lot more control from on high and vince being vince are the main ones. Being on the preshow doesn't help either - its the death slot and most workers know it.
Also the change in audience seems to throw some people. Its not just the size but the composition - raw/PPV crowds don't pop the same way or for the same thing as NXT crowds.

I am currently 31 years old and I think I could be the first time and smoked and the bellas vs Xavier Woods and Waters The only thing that I had my interview and we have no problem at the time I had to be the most recent resume is that they will be able to get any better than the intended recipient of the rockies security number of people that are not the intended recipient of the rockies security number of people who have not yet received your request for information purposes and then click to open and you should not take it to the community to do is go out of town this week that the only ones are you waiting to happen with the same dildo 30 #BRINGBACKHULKHOGAN poster ,entrant #30 wins
How do I into pro wrestling? I used to love WWF back in the day - especially Sting and Raven - but I have been told that WWE has sucked ass for a long time. Any truth to that? If not, anything else to check out?
>>878329 Yes because Brock needs to do a program with someone else and you can't lock up your champion and your top draw for just one match while the rest of the card goes to shit. Brock doesn't even need the belt and he'll be a shittier transitional champion than Sheamus, at least Sheamus shows up every Raw and Smackdown.
Reigns doesn't even have to toss Brock out of the Rumble, it could be his actual opponent for Wrestlemania and while I see Roman showing up at #1 or #2 he'll be ducking out half of the match after he removes the initial wave of jobbers.
Besides, do you really want Brock to lose clean at Wrestlemania?
To be honest I want Lesnar to get fucked over by whoever his match at mania is going to be. I'd wish for Orton but he's injured.
I don't want Reigns to win either. To have this first ever title defense in a rumble to happen and have your champion retain would just be fucking lame as shit but I feel it will happen.
I don't even know who I'd have win to be honest. Ambrose is unlikely to even be in the rumble. Owens isn't built up well for a WM main event. I don't think Bray vs Reigns is a good enough draw for a mania main event. Cena is injured, Seth is injured, everyone is fucking injured.
The only thing I can even think of being half way decent would be the rock as a surprise entrant winning it. It's not like I watch RAW so I don't give a fuck about an absent champion until mania.
I'd just like to be pleasantly surprised for once. The rumble has been so fucking garbage for the past 3 or 4 years, probably more, I've lost count.
Who do you even have these guys face? I mean I haven't liked Orton for a really long time but he's the only match I can think of that anybdoy would give a shit about with Lesnar. I mean Batista could be alright too even though I don't like him so much either.
>2016 >shifting champions on the fly >Brock as a two month champ Pick one
Roman will and should win but how? Does he bulldoze 29 other superstars beating his own record? Does he throw out the weaksauce shitters and then stay down when the heels gang up on him until faces help him?
One thing is for sure, BEEG will be one of the top 4 along with Kane if only for Lesnar throwing out big guys
>>878421 I know she's trying, but for fuck sake. She had literally ONE thing to do that entire match and she some how managed to fuck that up! > Listen Eva, this is going to be fool proof! You're going under the top rope (despite women's battle royals not being over the top rope normally) and you're going to do the Edge spot where you come in last second > All you have to do is come in at the right time and throw Asuka out of the ring, that's it So she jumps in far too early as Asuka stares directly in her face and she has to pretend she didn't see her re-enter the ring.
>>878449 Well since Cena was basically a rehash of Hulk Hogan, shit yes.
You're not wrong about the bullshit, but Vince has no competition to make him sweat, a bottom line enforced by stockholders, and a lost grip on reality due to age and ONE TOO MANY ASS-BEATINGS as a performer fucking up his brain. This was inevitable.
