What's the Cancer Killing Airsoft for YOU personally?
Historical airsofting loadouts?
This is me as VDV at a cold war game. Any African/Small wars airsofters here?
Funilly enough, at this paticular game yes, we were guarding the Nork border from the filthy capitalists whilst the war raged on in Yurope. The objectives were sneeki breeki type. We had to sneak into the NATO camp and steal the CO2 canisters that gave the NAAFI beer its fizz.
The smelly canvas, I needs it.
For me there's no cancer, it's evolution.
I am getting older, and the airsoft I started playing is long gone. I don't want to pay for games that are far away and don't have any neat things, any more, just to keep that particular autism niche alive. I am very willing to pay for neat things.
Airsoft in my country is going places, summer can't come fast enough.
Gonna build a selous scout loadout. Can't find a decently priced brushstroke bdu shirt. Gonna ask my aunt if she could find a fabric factory to repro the pattern in the philippines.
Snipers are money pits with low payouts. My advice, never get one.
It's different platstyle to AEGs. You have to be sneaky and get the first shot. You can perform well if you are able to remain undetected in a cover where you can get clear shots with little obstrusion in your way.
Then again, sniper rifles need a lot of care to get them right. Not sure if they can be called money sinks though. A friend of mine bought a second hand APS2, upgraded it with PDI parts and it's still going strong after 5 years. Expecting performance and reliability out of stock rifles is riddiculous.
Pic somewhat related. It's the APS2.
PDI wide bore or 6.08mm for HPA DMR? PDI WBB is supposedly of lower quality, but it's still a wide bore which is supposedly better for HPA rifles.
And yes, before you niggers accuse me of anything, my HP DMR does indeed shoot 0,66g 6mm steel bearing balls at supersonic speeds and 9000< RPS.
So I went back to my small island home for Christmas with an MP5 in my bag so I can play on the god awful site they have down there with some old college friends and I noticed something...
Everyone has some sort of G36, well over 70% of the guns I saw there were those ugly bulky plastic german turds. Is this a trend in other woodland sites?
Being a small island, it probably lacks a divergence of airsofters. I envisage there is one shop, probably ran through the one site on the island.
I see that a lot near where I work. It's in the middle of nowhere in Wales, so as a result everyone runs with JG M4's and Cyma AK's.
There is only myself with a gas rifle and one other HPA faggot there so everyone gets all excited over out guns.
>ugly bulky plastic german turds
I may be an AK guy, but I have a soft spot for HK stuff.
>Kjw made a ruger 10/22, but not a ruger mini 14.
What the fuck
I'm currently working on a kit that's loosely based on Gulf War scud hunters since it's one of the only things I could do with an M14 or an XM177E2 that wasn't Vietnam or Black Hawk Down kit #1000. I've got a buttpack and IFAK coming in probably next week and I've already got the night parka (Both the original USGI cotton one and the Gore-Tex one). I more or less just need a pair of SWDGs and the kit is GTG; one day I might also get a small ALICE pack and an M72 LAW to top the kit off, but that's a ways away.
Also I need a friend that actually knows how the fuck to take photos so I can get some kit picks on Kodak Gold for that legit early 90s feel. Or at least a VSCO filter set since I know fuck all about post processing.
Disregard what the others say, the KC-02 can be made into a tack driver of a rifle if you have the money.
Mainly because the JG G36 is cheap, consistent, and has retard proof reliability. My local field stopped using them ONLY because they have some shit going on with Elite Force/Umarex.
I just spent the last two hours trying to get a gearbox back together and I'm convinced it's impossible. Every time I'm about to put the other half of the gearbox back on the trigger spring pops out, or the anti-reversal latch pops out, or the piston rotates out of place, or the spring guide comes flying out the back of the gun.
Is it normal for every single part to want to pop out?.
It depends entirely on the gearbox and the parts. Some fit better together than others. Teflon tape on anti reversal latch axle helps it stay in place. Hold the spring guide down with a screwdriver. The V2 trigger can be placed only partly inside gearbox until the other half of the gearbox shell is able to hold the spring. If the V3 trigger is acting up, you're in for a ride. Gluing down the wires isn't my favourite thing, but I've done it couple times.
>Is it normal for every single part to want to pop out?
Where the spring rests is pushing up too much. Bend the little tail up a little so it sits lower in the hole. Spring only needs to push laterally, won't hurt anything to compromise vertical.
Use your left hand (pointer + middle finger) to hold this down while steadying the bottom half of the shell with the rest of your left hand. Later I ended up drilling a hole in the back of my gearbox shells so I could jam a screwdriver up the spring guide instead, which is also really useful when taking it apart.
Have the spring guide / spring fully extended out the back. Now get the trigger assembly together in the bottom shell. **Here is the trick for the trigger** use the spring's force to hold itself in place: If the shell is angled towards whatever surface just right with the trigger pressing against it, it will hold the assembly in place. You may need to rig a means of it resting like that. Now hold the shell steady and prime the spring and prepare to put the top shell on.
Put your right hand pointer finger through the cylinder window and press down on the cylinder. Close the shell like there's a hinge at the far end at the nozzle, you may have to press the top of the spring guide inwards a little so it goes into the top shell as you close the far end. The trigger posts may not have quite popped into the holes, with the shell nearly closed (with the force from it just slipped over the top of the spring guide you can leave it nearly closed) use a small screwdriver to push the posts to pop into place.
Those look like Estonians and maybe some Wehrmacht, not SS. Also spotted what looked like to be some dutch patches as well. They're wearing essentially late war German camo, which is a loadout I'd love to make in a volksturm getup.
>everyone has a G36
That sounds pretty boring.
It's an ok AR-18 derivative, but personally I always disliked the magazines it used.
They're a little bit on the heat sensitive side but it's a service rifle, not an LMG, so that's really not as big as a problem as some people think.
The fore-end looks kind of cool.
I don't love the stock, it seems like it would be brittle.
There isn't really anything wrong with 10/22s, real ones, but the idea of billing one as a 'sniper rifle', it seems kind of quaint. I mean, I suppose you can build yourself one that is quite accurate with match ammo, but it doesn't strike me as a weapon you'd employ for long range target elimination.
But then again, the Israeli employ them for "riot control" purposes.
Yeah, that upsets me, like, I would love a nicely made 580 series Mini-14 GBB, or Mini-14GB GBB. And obviously an AC-556k GBB
been playing for two years and I use a combat machine
>Classic Army is still making the G3, and now with an aluminum body instead of zinc alloy
>Only sold in Germany with exclusive licensing by Begadi
WE M14, ACM M500, and my bastardized Marui Hi-Capa.
Not pictured is my ASGI "Custom" Combat Machine (was my first airsoft gun and it only recently shat the bed with a cracked GB), my POS Well MP7 (don't care enough to pick it up from a friend's place and he doesn't care enough either), and a G&P XM177 that I'm picking up soon.
Can anyone suggest radios/headsets?
Preferably low-profile since I don't wear a helmet
spasiba and putin bless
If it makes you feel any better though, these types of AKs are only really seen in the hands of FSB Alfa.
Since they're more or less one of the only groups that actually gets decent funding.
Russia is generally pretty behind the times when it comes to gear (they're still using ALICE like harnesses and some groups haven't changed since the first Chechen War), so yeah they opt for the Western gear.
There's probably some psy-ops shit in there too when you consider that they're running the same camo as a couple NATO countries.
If any of you are interested, I checked King Arm's website and they still have FALs.
The full length ones are sadly out of stock, though you could probably mod one of the medium length ones with a barrel extension and a real steel flash hider.
I don't take much pictures, but here's something that happened during the year.
This is what you want. Check your local surplus store or an airsoft store if you have them. A hobby store might have it too.
As for radios, it really depends on your application. If you're a speedsofter or a casual player what use are you actually going to have with a really good radio; so I'd just go with a shitty Motorola or Midland or whatever.
I use a Wouxun KG-UV3D, but I prefer milsim with the occasional pickup game.
Most Wouxun radios are pretty great, and reliable, provided you take care of them.
That looks like a great year!
>welcome to the club
I will match it if I want, dear Anon
It's a 0,45g Rocket Platinum bb from a bad batch. Almost every bb from the initial two bags I had were way over 6mm. I bought another bag couple months later and they were normal size, but not very consistent. For the most part the range was great with my R-hopped VSR, but quite often the bb fell shorter than usual which leads me to believe that there's still some variance between either with size or weight.
Yeah the Zhukov is a nice stock. Not exactly sold on the looks of thus handguard, but the stock is nice.
State airsoft organization held a Star Wars themed game when TFA came out; lightsabers were encouraged.
not even that guy, but the issue isn't that it's a modernized AK, it's more that it's an ugly AK.
>bare muzzle threads
>huge ass sopmod stock
>stamped AKM receiver and bolt, yet has 47 dust cover
>intrusive and unused railspace
>rail just looks ugly
>cringey russian carving
to each his own, but fuck, your ak is ugly
do you disagree with anything i've said?
>stamped AKM receiver and bolt, yet has 47 dust cover
It's an AK-104 which uses a smooth dust cover, and the rail system isn't unheard of even in Russia. The only thing really ugly is the stock, in part because of that tube trunnion, and because it's fat and round. Would do better with a slimmer one.
ak104? It doesnt use a 7.62 mag, nor does it have a 104 receiver
yes bud I know.
The guy's AK, which is apparently an AK104 derivative, does not have a 7.62 mag, while the AK104 is chambered in 7.62. What is trying to say is that his AK is a horrible frankstein of parts not much better than the horrific ak beta spetz.
Or 105 or 103. They all use the same dust covers. Doesn't really matter much considering every AEG AK accepts every AEG AK mag and that magazine is very clearly aftermarket. Pretty sure the OEM for that one comes with a 7.62 mag though.
It's also exactly a 104 receiver. The only way to differentiate between them in airsoft is the magazine, and like I said, EVERY AEG AK WILL ACCEPT EVERY AEG AK MAGAZINE. I could throw a 7.62 mag on a krink and suddenly it's an AKMSU, or a 5.45 mag on an AKM and suddenly it's an AK-74M.
What connectors do you guys use. Mini Deans on everything here. Only downside is that fucking retailers still only stock batteries with tamiya crap so I need to buy connectors and solder them separately
im refering to anon's "baby"
literally ak beta spetsnaz tier
>All these good looking AK's
>tfw I'm working on trading my m4 for one right now
keep dumping porn guys
Ever seen an SBR mini draco? Pretty much a beta spetsnaz.
we've been over this anon
your ak is not an ak10x
>post their own AK
>it gets called ugly 90% of the time
gee, why is that?
civilian legal where anon?
arsenals, the closest thing to an izhmash ak10x all have the buttons
show me a picture of a russian ak10x without it and i'll stop hurting your feelings
Its not even hurting my feeling but more about how your expectations of airshit. Lets see your AK anon.
>gets told his AK looks like shit
>has a $400 polarstar in what is basically an AK beta spetz
>"i-i-it's how a russian AK looks like dummy!"
>gets asked to back up his claims
>p-p-post your ak
take your shit AK and leave forever
you made a claim that it's based off of an AK-105, which you couldn't back up
I said your AK is a frankenstein abomination of parts not based on anything, hence the comparison to the beta spetz
yes bud, I honestly cannot get over how someone can look at your shit and believe it looks like a tasteful modernized AK
How many times do I have to tell you that you've already stated your opinion? Are you this butthurt that you can't stand a counterpoint? Seriously, let's stop this derailment since its only you and I who are participating. You don't like my AK, and I disagree with your opinions. There.
Last time I'm responding
Please stop because this is doing nothing but causing inane arguments just because I don't agree with you. You're being incredibly immature over disagreement here. It's better off if we just drop this at this point because any semblance of conversation has ended.
Added a GI belt, canteen, and leg holster to my gear; using a C02 Walther P99 for the moment.
Managed to get a "kill" with it while doing a knee-slide.
The "hanging" strap isn't quite long enough, so it pulls down my waist belt, and the thigh straps are a smidge tight, but that's more of my fault for being such a fatass.
However, it's very secure, gives a FULL range of movement, and it's very easy to draw your sidearm.
Not bad then
I'd recommend getting some suspenders for your belt or maybe a barebones ALICE rig if its sagging on you. They're dirt cheap and the should support will keep your gear even more snug on you.
Thought I might post a bit of a loadout pic in this style, see what others have to match.
Please excuse the potato quality, managed to get dust on the inside of the phone's lens somehow.
ayy (lookin into getting a pb surpressor)
Not really. Officially, the SKS and even the Mosin-Nagant are still in service in the Russian Army, yes, but the truth is that there's still too many of those lying around at the warehouses. No one uses those, we just have too many of them left with little way to get rid of them.
So the new Ruger American pistol is out, when do you think that there'll be a GBB pistol?
Give it time, it just came out this week.
I wonder how it compares to the M&P 9?
It's VERY similar.
Don't be a noob and buy a PolarKärcher.
It's perfect for speedsoaking.
How do I carry it around though? all my friends got normal guns and if I take this heavy shit not only will it weigh me down (i'm already pretty fat and slow) but also make me look really stopid..
since you seem to be a water gun expert i need to ask you: is spitting allowed in water gun matches?
sometimes i like to use it as a close combat weapon since it's much faster than drawing your sidearm but some people say it's illegal
also what's a good way to make grenades? i usually like to mix baking powder with water but the effective range is pretty smal
This isn't actually my one, mine's less beaten to shit (and sometimes has an eotech if I can be bothered), but it's close enough.
Do you guys paracord your stocks?
What do you think about APS in general ? Especially the asr series ?
I their Silver Edge gearbox a good gearbox ?
r8/h8 etc. I have a third one but its just a gen 1 AK47 with refinished furniture.
The silver edge gearbox shell itself is fine if you're gutting it to put in an ASCU/BTC mosfet and new cylinder assembly, but for the money, you can get much better. Their ARs are in the G&P price range for lower quality and their AKs are in the CYMA quality range for more money. Do yourself a favor and buy either or.
Ill take a Cyma AK over just about anything else in the ak world honestly. High end AKs don't seem to perform any better and only boast nicer externals. Seeing as most real AKs I shoot have shitty finishes anyway, Cyma externals don't bother me. I just buff them a little with some sandpaper.
This is probably bait, but...
>Work as a ref
>Everyone who I know and interact with regularly already knows I airshit
>Everyone who takes 2 seconds to look at my social media will know I airshit due to coworkers and friends
>If some chick said that to me I'd have just met them that day
>Literally zero consequences if I tell her off.
>Say I do
>Call her a judgmental cunt
>She can double down or back down.
>Either way, nothing of value was lost.
I dont yet but i'm doing research and watching videos while I consider going to a field next weekend
Dude, you are on 4chan, you aren't cool. Everyone on /asp is especially autistic. Everyone here swings fake swords around for fun, or spends too much time learning useless martial arts, or watches fucking professional wrestling, the fact thay we enjoy shooting each other with bb guns isnt a big deal. We are all nerds, get over it.
Hey guys, where can i sell my used equipment and buy other used stuff?
What's a good starter M4?
Also are any of you guys in Scotland? The site ill be attending is the one that the youtube guy Scoutthedoggie goes to, it'd be cool to meet some like minded people while I'm there.
No niggers though
>Do you have the little bed in that roll too?
If I remember correctly it was filled with chocolate and/or water.
>Is that baby actually firing from an open bolt position?
I've certainly tried to make it look that way.
If you're talking about Section 8, then be prepared for cracking terrain let down by a complete lack of meaningful build work; this was the case the last and only time I went a few years ago.
There's also Players of War in Bonnybridge. The site owner is a massive racist as far as I can tell, but gives good banter and maintains a cracking playing area. There's some drama between them and Section 8, but ignore it and try both if you get the chance, see what appeals.
>What's a good starter M4?
G&P and Lonex. G&P has better externals. Lonex has better internals. They might be bit expensive, but they definitely hold their resale value higher than chinarifles.
I've got some extra money but I've already got a decent replica, backup replica, scope, mags, pouches, clothing, battery, charger ....
I have everything I need to play airsoft for quite some time.
Am I missing out on something?
Here's my CQC loadout until my AK belt gets here. The pistol draw is smoother than it looks. Spare P99 mag goes on right shoulder, AK mags go in the belly pouches, left shoulder is empty ATM.
>I would get them confused and shoot my dog lol
I genuinely hope you're just pretending to be retarded.
>Be playing before my reffing shift
>Some shitter in a Dye mask putting his super-shorty gun above his eyeline when poking out of cover.
>Finally got egregious about it and I called him out for blindfiring.
>Poked his head out one more time and I took it off.
>End of round, go and explain to him what qualifies as blindfire
>Getting other complaints of blindfire so made sure everyone knew exactly what counted as blindfire and that they would get kicked off the field for it.
>Speedsofter shit I chewed out goes home.
>Complains on the internet about it to the facebook page
>Boss sees it
>Zero fucks given
In other news, I finally got a chance to use the orange 0.25g Valken bbs I got special ordered. They track surprisingly well.
Well I'll tell you I work at pretty much the only indoor field for a good distance and it serves a tri-state area. I'd say more if I didn't know for sure there were anons in this very thread that go to my field that I do not know of yet.
how dare you be mean to that poor speedsofter
why can't you be more accepting of other players?
Just kidding, what did the little faggot say on the facebook page?
I... actually don't know. I just checked the review section and there's nothing. I'm going to have to ask my boss about it, because he replied to the speedshitter before I left at close. Maybe he deleted it once he was called out or asked a specific question or something.
Ever been to FUBAR?
Leagues better and everyone there is friendly and chill. Owner likes to sit up in the observation booth and play sniper support for the team that manages to hold the center.
>buying a krytac
dont do it fags. Krytac in all their wisdom has decided to use the body pin style that screws together, they come very overtightened and put alot of stress on the body, whatever metal they use is garbage because this happens alot
So I want to build my WE M14 into something that doesn't just look like a marksman rifle, but also perform like one. I'm probably going to get the RA-Tech 540mm when it comes to a barrel, but I'm stuck on the hopup bucking.
I was thinking something like this, http://www.evike.com/products/39014 , but I'm unsure if my M14 would shred it or not.
Can anyone with experience in WE GBBRs or VSR type rifles chime in?
Probably cast aluminum judging by the color.
>Want DMR performance but not look like another faggot with a DMR on the field?
>I present you with the greatest solution of them all.
Post bbgats you'll never have.
I feel you could actually build a colt 633 out of a m4. I would love to have a colt lmg.
I know, m8, I was recalling what I had in it when the picture was taken. Perfect size, incidentally, for one of those chunky water bottles you get from petrol stations, so I reckon that's what was in it at the skirmish.
Pretty sure German soldiers said "Fuck it" when they realized that no one was using chemical weapons and stored cigarettes, booze, food and shit in it instead of a gas mask they'd never use.
My Beretta 84 should be arriving any time now, maybe even today, does anyone know if the WE brand Beretta 84 will take real steel Beretta 84 grips?
I don't think so considering how there's a plethora of pars for Marui based M9s.
Anon might have some problems with certain things like guide rods and what not since it's not an M9 though.
This is a completely different story if WE based their 84 off of the Western Arms though.
Well... Shit. I haven't bought airsoft in a while, but that looks like THE MOST PERFECT AND FUTURISTIC THING I'VE EVER SEEN, HOLY FUCK! How can I get an airsoft equivalent for that?!
I just got one of those 10 dollar bayonets in the mail.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to harness it onto gear? I'm using a ranger-style plate carrier. I tried putting it onto my drop leg platform but it just looks silly and gets in my way.
Charge your battery.
Fiddle with the selector, sometimes all you need to do is fire on full auto to unfuck things.
Failing that, look up a guide on how to unjam the gearbox. It's a version 2, if that helps.
>over 4 years playing
>first gun was a JG
>last two have been combat machines
>I still use pic related as my primary
If you're even half decent at teching, they're not bad guns.
>responding seriously to a shitposter who can't use google
The time has come.
Remember Calisofters, this law isn't retroactive, it only counts at the point of sale, meaning if you purchased a gun before SB199 or out of state and brought it in, SB199 would not apply due to the specific language of the law. It's yet another unenforceable piece of feel-good legislation from your hardlyworking politicians. Take advantage.
Wouldn't it need a specific grandfathering clause if that was the case? As far as I am aware it applies to all airsoft guns after 1/1/2016.
Not that it matters, the tapes are there for sale and transport, there is no provision for the tape for use and ownership.
All nonsense anyway, but at least somebody is finally thinking of the children.
Does anyone here get tired of the COD schtick?
I mean I get it all the time.
oorah this and terrorist that...
My one request in life is a SWAT simulation, it's been my most recent obsession.
Is there any airsoft place that stages police raids?
Is there a god?
>047C's on preorder for only 116
I have multiple AKs, but I don't have a basic 74 yet...
>Beretta 84 arrives
Goodness gracious, it's something else.
It's smaller, yet heftier than the WE M&P
It's based on a blowback gun rather than a short-recoil gun, so it's not even close to as rattly, in fact, it pretty much doesn't rattle at all. It doesn't make quite as much noise cycling, but that's fine.
It has a great double-action trigger (sort of), and a phenomenal single-action trigger.
It JUST about fits in my hand
It applies to all airsoft guns SOLD after 1/1/2016 because the tape must be applied before the point of sale. By the language of the law, the onus of putting the tape on is the retailer or the manufacturer, not the consumer.
I can see this being the same as the "valid defense" argument we get in bongistan.
Where people seem to assume that UKARA membership is the only valid defense rather than actually reading the law.
Well, there are exceptions in the transport part of the law that includes transporting from a private residence to a facility where it's to be used. Additionally, when it discusses how and where the tape/coloring is to be applied, it's explicitly before the point of sale: if not at manufacture, at retail. There is no wording that suggests a consumer has to apply the coloring to their gun.
Maybe that Evike video was wrong but it stated that guns purchased from Cali will come with the bright tape included. Not a big deal for me because I don't live in a slightly less retarded liberal state that doesn't have laws requiring tape.
Since I do live*
Just glad that Massachusetts has enough of an airgun culture and is mostly white to the point that these laws aren't considered. Also helps that we have a Republican governor right now.
This was my second airsoft gun.
How the fuck do these people even remember to breathe?
Do I _NEED_ one of these or I play without one?
Some fields do, some don't. It's not a necessity but if you feel like you do, then get one.
If you play a lot of CQB then I would recommend it, or at least a mouth guard because no one likes having to lose teeth over god damn bbwarz.
Me and out friends personally play with some mini-mesh guards (Like pic related) that we made with the mesh from a full face mask, and wear them under balaclavas or shemagh wraps.
Whats the point you retard? Any gun shipped from outside the US, no matter if it goes or doesn't go through Cali, it will have the tape.
Redwolf and Ehobby has been doing it for a while now.
Won't be painted pink, but I'll make some anime stock slap for my SR25
>a bag with decent storage for a single M4 + mags?
>Simple chest rig ?
No since most of the noise from a bbgat comes from the gearbox (or action if it's a gbb). You can stuff a suppressor with foam but it will barely do anything (and might even be illegal in some states).
Suppressor alone rarely does anything to AEGs. Changes the sound signature a bit, but nothing major. On the other hand, HPA guns gain massive benefits from suppressors. Mancrafts are nearly impossible to hear past 10 meters.
