No not really. WWE and American pro wrestling in general has always had sort of a yellow fever. Wrestlers have traditionally liked working in Japan, they usually get valuable experience that helps their pushes back stateside. There are exceptions of course, like Albert /Giant Bernard who went to NJPW after WWE and got over as fuck, then came back and kept being given really shit gimmicks.
