can i give my dog bread every day? i dont mean it as a basis for their diet, but i simply eat a lot of bread and she always wants some so i give her a little bite whenever i have. i read that a dog can eat like one entire bread a day maximum, is that true? i give her about a quarter of a bread every day i would say
>>
It isn't good for her teeth. The bread residue can cause tooth decay.

i never know how to digest this kind of advice. so how does this act? say is a quarter of a bread too much for every day? what other food causes this?
>>

oh sorry i didnt mention it. we typically eat this type of bread around here. you divide this thing in 4 and basically 1 of these four equates something like 2 slices. and come to think about it i may give her like half of one bread so in the end, more or less, one entire slice a day (not as constant ast every day though).

it's not the healthiest thing to be doing OP. maybe rarely, but not everyday
>>
My cat loves bread, but he eats raw. I would give him a little now and then because whatever he eats healthy. Now he's allergic to grain! So he can't even have most treats.
>>
I will tell you what I do know - You are never supposed to give bread to ducks and such because it expands in their stomach making them feel full, and not eat the food they need for actual nutrition.

You can look that up if you care.

Anyway, the point is, it's not unreasonable to assume the same would happen to a dog.

They're completely different animals tho. I think it's safer to think a dog has a stomach like humans than ducks.
>>
>>2059331
actually you cant give them fresh bread. dried out bread is fine.
>>
so can i give him one slice~ each 2 days or not
>>
Dogs typically don't care about quantity when it comes to treats. You could just give her a tiny human-sized bite and she'll probably be pleased as punch about it, if you really want to give her a little bit without worrying about her health.

really
how can this even be proved
why would it be different from humans
