Not my bird but while crashing on a couch this dick woke me up by biting my lip and screaming at me in demands to pet him. He doesn't even like me unless I share my pear with him or I specifically go in to scratch his neck.

I like birbs but they don't make sense to me.

Right now mine isn't too happy about being with me though. I rescued the fucker after a cat chewed up his wing and cleaned him up a few days ago. Disinfected and flushed it, I would've given him antibiotics but no one in my city sees pigeons and nowhere sells Fish Mox or Bird Biotic. He seems healthy though, he's eating and drinking very well and wing slaps and pecks the fuck out of me whenever I try to go into his cage. Makes me happy to see him doing so well though.

Easier than the bigger parrots but harder than a cage bird like a budgie/finch.

They can't chew things so they don't wreck your house. However, I recommend putting them in pants (diapers) when you take them out to avoid the poo. They take to pants very well

After a cat attack it's really important you get your new friend on antibiotics ASAP. Cat saliva contains a toxic cocktail of bacteria that are likely to cause septic shock in birds - disinfecting the wing may have avoided this, but if it didn't the pigeonbro will die too quickly after symptom onset for you to treat it. They seem healthy right up until they keel over: it's a defense mechanism.

Where do you live (roughly)? There are almost always online stores that sell general bird antibiotics.

I had to watch a bird like that once.
It was horrible and it was only a week.

The owners begged me to do it because I'm good with animals but know nothing about birds. This bird was loud and annoying and I could not figure out what it wanted me to do. I fed it properly and cleaned the cage daily but god could that bird screech. Never put my hand near him because I couldn't tell if he would snap my finger off with his attitude.
