Hey /an/

Can you tell me if this is something to worry about? About a week ago I noticed these red patches of skin around my dogs mouth; I haven't noticed them before but im not sure if that's just the color of her skin.

She's 3, and an Australian shepherd mix. We don't know what the father was but we thing a St. Bernard, if that helps.

I'll post both sides of her mouths and a pic of her. It doesn't seem to bother her, but she also compulsively licks her paws so maybe she just has chapped lips? Idk, I just want to make sure she's okay is all. I'll take her to the vet if it gets worse, obviously.

Sorry this one is upside down, she was being fussy. It's the other side of her muzzle.

Could be allergies, get her checked by the vet.

That's one of the things I was thinking. She absolutely loves being out in the snow and eating it; I'm thinking maybe she is just rubbing around the cold grass and it's irritating her, or something else similar. On a related note, one of my cats has allergies too and it was pretty treatable.

Pic related, he's on the left

Are her gums pale or white?

Most likely allergies. The vet might want to do steroid to see if that helps or not. It usually is environmental or food related.
