Is there a land based predator that wolverines don't stand a decent chance against? They have confirmed kills against moose and polar bears.
>>
Bears can kill them easily. So can wolves.
>polar bears
lmao killing cubs isn't that impressive.
>>
Yeah, pretty much any extremely large land predator.
Anything involving wolverines killing bears is just a freak thing. They aren't capable of reliably killing a bear in a fight or anything.

2 easily outmatch a bear, wolverines are usually feared amongst other animals known for their kills this gives them a dominating advantage distilling fear in the predatory nature battles. Much like wolverine himself

Scaring away != beating in a fight
By that logic I could beat a bear in a fight too.

Honey Badger.

Wolverines are badgers

>>
>>2042574
I mean no "Wolverines, are Mustelinae."
>>
>>2042575
"no, Wolverines are Mustelinae."
>>

No, wolverines are just good at acting confident and chasing animals away. A lot of big predators will leave if something is running at them aggressively even if it obviously couldnt really hurt them.

There are videos of domestic cats chasing off bears and alligators, but that doesn't mean the cat wouldn't have gotten eaten if it was a fight.

Puncture wounds can kill through infection and something like a wolverine can do enough damage to kill in proceeding weeks to make it not worth fucking with and wolverines are short lived enough that being psychotic is a viable survival strategy.

Proof of the crazy versus strong theory.

Forgetting about pick related. How could a wolverine even hope to stand a chance against an apex predator of this magnitude?
